Glossy Box; January 2012

Its Hereeeee! I waited ALL day for the post to come! actual 4:30pm!! i checked the post trays FIVE times! (Can i just say this wasn't the postman's fault, the post gets delivered, then the people in reception have to sort into our correct trays, but i still don't know how that takes all day! but never mind) So, I've been trying not to read any reviews or watch any youtube videos before my box came so it didn't spoil it, which is very difficult! so by the time my box arrived this afternoon, i had a vague idea of what kind of products to expect.
So here it is.....

YaaY
I LOVE The Pink Box!
How Cute?!
I Always Love Glossy Box Packaging, i think they put so much effort into it, and their boxes are always so well presented. In my box this month i received......

Now I'm not one to complain, but I was expecting a little more. This had been advertised as a 'Special Edition' box, and even (i think) compared to the Christmas box (which was SO good!) So, with that in mind, i am only slightly disappointed, but not at all with the product i got, i very much look forward to trying them all, i was just expecting something a little more WOW.
The Contents;
- Eyeko Skinny EyeLiner in Plum 0.8g (full size?)
- Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - Dewey Finish 5ml
- Weleda One Step Cleanser & Toner 10ml
- FAB Gentle Body Wash 56.7g
- Orly Nail Lacquer in Ruby 5.3ml

I'm SO pleased i got this colour, I would have like this colour or i think there is an emerald green one. I had a horrible feeling i would end of with the pink! Does anyone wear pink eyeliner? I would like to know this. But, back to the eyeliner, on the little card it reads ' Get a handle on your eyeliner for precise definition and intense colour with a long-lasting finish'
Now i don't know about anyone else (and to be honest i only noticed this today) but i actually hold my eyeliner pencil quite close to the nib, so i don't really see how the long handle is useful? Perhaps once its sharpened down and is a tiny stub, it'll be nice having that little extra to hold onto? but i don't know? we shall have to see.

I Apologise For My Poor Swatches/Photographs

The texture of the liner is lovely and creamy, so glides on a treat! and i LOVE the colour, its such a nice purply colour with a gorgeous shimmer/metallic element! the picture really doesn't do it justice, but it so nice! i cannot wait for a night out when i can test it out properly.
Eyeko Skinny Eyeliners are available here for £9.50 (from the picture on the card i think it comes in 6 different colours!) The offer Glossy Box Subscribers get is a free gift with any purchase! So i might treat myself to the green one!

Murad Primer, we got a cute little 5ml sample in a pump tube, i'd be interested to know weather it came in different finishes, mine came in Dewey. The card reads ' Oil-free primer ignites a radiant glow, powered by light-enhancing minerals.' I swatched the product on the back of my hand, intrigued to see what it was like.

Please Excuse The Poor Lighting.
I don't really know what i was expecting but i wasn't expecting this, i wasn't expecting it to be the colour of foundation, for some reason i assumed it would be white/pink colour similar to that of a highlighter, but i was pleasantly surprised, it being foundation colour means it can be worn with or without regular foundation, which is nice. The consistency of the product is quite runny i was expecting it to be a bit more creamy, though it still feels nice on the skin. It blends in nicely and leave a nice subtle sheen on the skin, one thing i always worry about with the 'dewey' glow is that I'm going to end up looking sweaty, but i think this is just subtle enough to prevent this from happening.

Again poor photography means you cant really see what its like. Now i wasn't going to write this, but I've just swatched it again while i was typing it up and before its completely dried i actually really like the appearance of it, I've just looked at it again now its dried, and slightly changed my mind. The one thing i hate about products the are supposed to 'luminate' are when they contain glitter! I know that these are light reflective particles, but at the end of the day it is just flecks of glitter isn't it? Surely someone must have come up with a to make a product illuminate ones face without putting extra sparkly glitter in? In this primer they are quite obvious, and i think there is nothing worse, than someone saying to you 'ohh you've got abit of glitter on your face.' No No its ok, its just my make up?! No Thanks. I was so appreciating this primer as well, perhaps with some foundation put over it, it may be abit less sparkly and abit more Dewey.
A Full size of Murad Primer is available here at £29.00 per 30ml

Next up Weleda One Step Cleanser and Toner... ' Weleda One-Step Cleanser and Toner is a handy two-in-one pack ideal for travel.' I've never tried this brand before, but its featured in beauty boxes quite a lot, so I'm excited to finally be able to try it. The consistency of this cleanser/toner is basically a milky water, so i couldn't really do a swatch because of the consistency, but i did a small test on the back of my hand and the product feels quite oily when applied, but then soon smooths in. It smells really good, the cleanser/toner and Weleda products in general contain a lot of natural ingredients and essential oils, which always gives them a pleasing smell. So far I'd been very impressed with this cleanser, i liked the smell and the texture/consistency. i then read the instructions on how to use it, it began with the usual, apply to damp cotton wool and keep wiping until your face is clean, the the last line reads 'Avoid the eye area' Whaaaatt?! Now this might just be me being lazy, but i dint want to use a separate eye make up remover, and also... its perfect for travel... not if i have to take a whole extra bottle of eye make up remover? Like i said earlier i don't want to complain, but that is abit annoying. but ohh well, I'm still looking forward to using it, and will make sure i use it on a day I'm not wearing waterproof mascara!
Weleda products are available here. A full size One Step Cleanser & Toner costs £9.95 per 100ml.

FAB (First Aid Beauty) Gentle Body Wash again another product I've been wanting to try, that's featured in few other beauty boxes (i think it actually featured in the Dec GlossyBox) I believe 2 products from this brand were available this month the body wash and a body lotion, now I'm glad i got the body wash as i am much more likely to use it. As much as i know i should use body lotion/cream more often i really don't, but a body wash i will most definitely use!

( I feel like this post is going on forever, so I'm sorry if I'm rambling!) This product has a lovely creamy texture and lathers up nicely even without water! the only thing i was disappointed with was the smell, it doesn't have one! well it does but its like that nothing smell, i guess because it tailored for people with sensitive skin. I cant wait to try it out :D
FAB products are available here, Gentle Body Wash is priced at £13.00 per 226.8g bottle.

And The Last Product (Hooorrraaayyy) haha please excuse my poor nail painting effort!

I LOVE Orly nail polish, I'm so so so happy about the product, i also LOVE the colour! I have an actual million nail polishes but i don't have one like this, so I'm pleased its not only a brand i love its a colour i haven't got! This is a teenie tiny miniature at 5.3ml, a full size Orly polish will cost you £6.95 for 18ml and are available here.

So I've come to the end of what seems like the longest blog post EVER! I majorly apologise if i have rambled etc. sometimes i get abit carried away, and i think i forget what I'm doing and go into essay writing mode!
I shall end my review with a conclusions haha, so to conclude this essay/blog post, I am very much looking forward to trying all the products and I'm glad i received products i would actually use, as i know there have been alot of disappointed people, but i do feel, the box didn't feel as special as it was made out to be. So Fingers crossed for next month. And lets hope GlossyBox have many more happy Customers.

So thank you GlossyBox for another lovely box of products! I look forward to next month.
Thanks for reading.
Lots of Love

Latest In Beauty; You!

Now really i wanted to do a post on this months Glossy Box But.... It Hasn't Arrived YET! *Sad Face* I returned from uni today hoping to have 2 (possibly more) nice parcels waiting for me, but no, just the one. But then again at least there was one of them, and it just means I'm getting nice surprises another day (though I'm hoping it'll come before Thursday, as I'm going to London for the weekend!)
So here it is, the much sought after Latest In Beauty YOU Box.....

I didn't even realise it was LIB until i opened this box!

The Contents!

So Many bottles and leaflets in this one! Once I'd taken all the photos i couldn't actually work out how all the stuff went back in! Now i as i only received the box today i haven't actually tried anything, so this will be more of a review of the contents and initial thoughts on the products, looks, smell, texture. maybe a quick test!
First up is the Bamford range;

Nice handy travel size! (I will probably take body wash to London with me, so will try it out then) This is the Bamford Geranium Range which included, a body wash, a body lotion and a bath oil. unfortunately at halls we don't have baths, but i do at home so i shall take it home for my mummy to use. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of flowery/herbaly smells, in the last LIB box we got a geranium balm which i actually love! So when i saw this was geranium i got a bit excited, but then i read it properly and its actually Geranium with lavender and peppermint, In my head i was like *Ohhhh Noooo* i don't like lavender! BUT, it actually wasn't half bad, it has like a proper salon/spar-y kind of smell, which i think makes it feel like a really luxe product. ( I feel like I'm rambling sorry) I tested the body lotion just on the back of my hand, it actually made my skin really really soft! and once the lotion has sunk in the scent is actually really subtle, which is nice. The body wash will have to wait till i venture home again so i can have a bath, and i shall be taking the body wash to London with me to try out.
Bamford Body Products are available here.
Geranium Body Wash 250ml - £18.00
Geranium Body Lotion 250ml - £20.00
Geranium Bath Botanic Bath Oil 250ml - £38.00

Next up;
Dr Nick Lowe Oil Control Day Cream
Sisley Sisleya Globa Anti-Age
Lanolips 101 Ointment

The Dr Nick Lowe i more than definitely won't try, as i have quite dry skin, so i don't have much trouble controlling my oil. So I'll either pass this onto my friend or my Mama (who both have oily skin) But i shall give what information i have on the product the letter reads;
"Dr Nick Lowe Oil Control Day Cream with the UK's first doctor's brand, cutting-edge, clinic-worthy skincare at last became affordable for anyone with complexion challenges." Well that definitely makes it sound amazing, an actual doctor magic cream?! The Tube reads ' a light daily moisturiser to help strengthen, tighten and refine skin's texture whilst helping to prevent breakouts and blemishes.'
The tube had no seal on it so i did a quick test on the back of my hand ...(no one will know!) its a semi thick consistency and smells quite natural, like its made of natural ingredients which is nice, there isn't really much else i can say about this product without trying it out, but even then it wont make much difference. So to finish off, Dr Nick Lowe is Exclusive to boots which you can buy here or in store.
Oil Control Day Cream - £10.31 50ml

Next up, a brand i have NEVER heard of Sisley this anti-age day cream launched in 2000 and apparently had 2500 women on a waiting list to receive this day cream!
The box says; "Total skin care with spectacular results. Supplying skin with phytostimulines (what?!), vitamin A (retinol), Vitamins E, B5 and F (Fatty Acids), oligo-elements and botanical essential oils for visibly improved skin texture, resilience and a radiant glow."
The cream has quite a rich texture, and quite a similar smell to the Bamford stuff, on the box it says it has a natural fragrance, I'm thinking it has lavender in it, i think that's what i can smell, just tested this on the back of my hand, it feels a little greasy, but hopefully on my dry skin it will sink in quite nicely. Look forward to trying this one, maybe I'll end up looking 21 forever! Sisley is available to buy at John Lewis for £243 for 50ml (WHAT THE ACTUAL FUDGE) I actually had to read that 4 times to make sure i was reading it right. £243 actual English pounds and not only that apparently they have low stock!? Whaaaat?! My 5ml sample better keep me looking 21 for that price!

Lets move onto Lanolips, not so long ago i read an interview with the founder of lanolips, but i cant for the life of me remember where it was, possibly in the boots health and beauty magazine. I believe LanolipsLanolips, i really don't know what to think about this, the fact that lanolin comes from greasy sheep, kind of creeps me out. I'm intrigued to see what it smells like, the instructions on the sachet suggest applying it to dry skin or liberally to your lips especially before going to sleep for better results. I really don't know if i could apply this to my lips, i know its probably been processed and what not, but its still grease from sheep's wool, going on my lips, i don't know if my boyfriend would appreciate that much either! So when i do brave testing the sample i might just try it on a dry knee or elbow! Lanolips is available on Boots.com for £11.22 per 15g (and i noticed you can buy is specifically for lips, and it has a hint of colour)

bareMinerals Mineral Foundation
This Product and the next are the two i was most excited about trying, I've been wanting to try bareminerals for ages, but I've never wanted to pay the price for the started kit, as I've also been unsure how loose powder foundations would look on my skin, as sometimes it can be particularly dry, and powder can make it look flaky. So I'm very looking forward to trying this out, and may even become a bareMinerals convert if all goes well. The card says that although is looks like a powder it feels like a cream, so i am very optimistic. Also i think the mini kabuki brush is just THE cutest!! You also get a little card with instruction on how to apply using their signature 'swirl, tap, buff' technique. bareMinerals is available here.

THIS is what i am most excited about; Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, hot cloth cleanser. I've read about this product on so many peoples blogs and it really seems to be a lot of peoples go to product. In this little set (that came in a lovely envelope) you get a 30ml sample of the cleanser, a lovely muslin cloth (which I'm guessing is full size as it pretty big, an instruction card and an ingredients leaflet. A quick back of the hand test, the cleanser feels lovely and thick and rich, it smells lush. I really cant wait to try this, fingers crossed i won't be disappointed, though I'm sure i won't if everyone elses reviews are anything to go by! (and its available here)

So i hope you've enjoyed seeing what was in the Latest in Beauty YOU box, unfortunately they have sold out of these boxes so are now unavailable.
All in all, i am VERY pleased with this box, as i will definatly use/at least try all the products and you never know, i might even inves in some! (probably not the £250 cream though) haha.
I shall let you know how i get on with all the products at a later date once I've had a chance to use them all!
Lots of Love

Latest In Beauty; Refresh & Recover

I actually got this box a few weeks ago, but what with uni and stuff, haven't got round to doing a blog about it.
So This is the Latest In Beauty Refresh & Recover Box, Its available here. The nice thing about LIB is you don't pay a monthly subscription fee like most beauty boxes, they bring out themed boxes every now and again (though there has been TWO this month!) and you just buy them as and when, I think their themed boxes are normally price around £5.95 with £2.95 postage, so they are also cheaper than other beauty boxes. LIB also do a monthly box (which you don't have to subscribe to) Which cost 1 whole English pound! (yes £1 for a beauty box!) these are nice as you get to choose what you get in them, you are allowed to choose 3 samples, and you simply text a number, and  they send you your checkout code, so the £1 comes out of your credit/ added to your monthly phone bill. which i think is great idea, especially for people that maybe are new to beauty boxes, or want to get onto the beauty box scene but don't want to risk paying £10+ and receiving a box full of stuff they might not want/like/use.

So anyway.... Back to Refresh and Recover....
This is how the box comes from the lovely (or not so lovely?) postman;

And Now the Contents...

With this box you got to pick 2 extra items of your choice from a list of products, there was a nice variety on the list, I'd say something to suite everyone. i picked; Balance Me, Hydrating rose Otto & Shea butter salve, I've already used this a couple of times and i LOVE it, i love anything that smells like rose, and the smells (and tastes) delicious! It reminds me of rose Turkish delight :D
My second choice was L'Oreal Paris Quad Pro, this is a nice little compact of eye shadows, it says suitable for Hazel eyes, mine are green but I'm sure it'll be fine they are nice neutral colours prefect for creating a daytime smokey eye. The little bit on the left (the colour like on its own) I'm assuming is a highlighter, the eye shadows are pressed powder, where as this one is more of a cream-to-powder formulation and its amazingly glittery!

L-R Shade 1, Shade 2, Shade 3, Highlighter

The rest of the contents in the box was the same as everyone Else's box, the first items...

Tea Pigs Tummy Tonic
Actimint
Cosmetofruit

I'm yet to try any of these, but I'll give you as much information on them as i can...
Starting with Tea Pigs, i had heard of this brand before but never used any of their products, in the Refresh & Recover box, you get a sample f the Tummy Tonic, which is Peppermint Tea leaves on the packet it says this;
"What's special about this tea?
 Our peppermint tea is fresher and finer than any teabag mint you have tasted before because, as with regular teas, we insist on whole leaves. Sip this when your stomach is grumbling, its great after a heavy night out down the Red Lion"
This sounds like the perfect tea.... As a student, we often have 'heavy nights' (studying of course!) After reading that I'm looking forward to trying it, and funnily enough just the other day i received a Twinnings Peppermint tea bag sample in the post, so i shall compare the two and maybe do a quick Blog post to let you know what i thought! Teapigs are available here.

Secondly was the Cosmetofruit Beauty Drinkable Elixir (Sounds Intriguing) This is a face anti-ageing Defence Drink, it contains; PhytoNutr-A-Berries Complex, Grapes & Blueberries, Grape Seed Extract, Kalpariane Algae & Green Tea Extract (Sounds Delicious) again I'm yet to be brave and try this, though it doesn't smell to bad, kind of like Blackcurrant Liquorice. I have to get information about this off of the Cosmetofruit website available here. But on there is says 4ml a day can help recover skin tone & lift, smoothing fine lines and recovering skins luminosity, its intensive hydration from deep layers of the skin. Powerful concentrates that detoxify and revitalise skin. So basically 4ml of this Miracle drink a day will get you looking glowing and youthful in no time!

Thirdly is Actimint...'more than a mint!' "ActiMint is the prebiotic alternative that helps to keep an optimum probiotic level in the gastric region, it improves digestion and is excellent for preserving fresh breath." In this sample we've been given 3 mints the directions say to dissolve one or two mints in the mouth after each meal. I don't really know what to write about these, they are basically probiotic mints, that help your digestion and keep your breath smelling minty fresh, they contain 'friendly bacteria' which helps good digestive health, xylitol, which is beneficially tooth friendly and cool mint which refreshes your breath. ActiMints are available here.

The rest of the contents of the box was more beauty products you get;

Lavera Hand Cream
Monu Recovery Balm
Figs and Rouge Balm
Sun Shots

Lavera Hand Cream; Containing organic Almond and organic Shea Butter, could you get a better combination than almond and Shea butter?! This hand cream smells SO good, I'm not a massive hand cream user, but it might make its way onto my ever growing list of new years resolutions. I actually really like this cream, its not greasy at all and smells so good, so it's probably a good product to ease myself into the hand cream usage. Another thing i like about this is is not only does it use organic ingredients but the cream itself is actually vegan as well (not that i am vegan, i just think its good)

Monu recovery balm; I was first introduced to the brand Monu in the November Glossy Box, i received a full size Skin Perfector, i completely fell in love with it. It smells divine, like a product you'd get at a spa, every time i use it i feel like I've had a facial. So in the Refresh & Recover box i got a 5ml Sample of the Recovery balm, this say its for all skin types particularly sensitive and stressed, I'm definitely stressed and the moment, but i don't know about my skin, its usually very dry, and can get sore so i guess its a little stressed, but anyway i used this cream the other day and Oh My Goshhhh, my skin felt actually the softest its ever felt in my life! The skin perfector usually leaves it feeling quite nice, but the Recovery Balm gahh, i just cant even explain how it made my skin feel. Once I've used my sample up i may have to invest in a full size because i may actually be in love with this cream! Monu Products are available here.

Figs & Rouge Balm; i got this in Sweet Geranium (i think everyone got the same flavour) so far I've been very impressed with this box, and this wasn't going to let me down either, i love the little vintage looking in it comes in! It does have a very strong floral smell to it (sweet geranium!) But i quite like it, I've only used it on my lips so far, and it does exactly what it say on the tin, it leave them feeling velvety smooth and kissable, i also found unlike some balms you that you need to reapply every 30 seconds because your lips have already dried out again, this one didn't it lasted for aaages, which i think is a massive bonus as the longer it lasts on your lips the longer it'll last in the tin! Win Win. And, another great thing about this balm, is you can use it on dry skin anywhere, not just your lips :) You can buy Figs & Rouge Balms in Boots!

The last item in this box really confused me, a sachet of Sun Shots factor 25 water resistant and anti-ageing sun protection. Do LIB know its January? I know they say you should wear sun cream everyday and there maybe those of you lucky enough to grab some winters sun, but really? Sun Cream, in a Refresh & Recover box in January? I wouldn't mind quite so much if they'd out a holiday in there as well, so we at least get to test it out. I'm not sure if we'll ever see the sun again in England, but if we do, and it ever becomes hot enough that i may require sun cream, I may use it, if by that time i remember i actually have it. But, that last little gift did leave me dreaming of the summer months, and imagining lazing around a pool, with some nice cocktails, so it wasn't all bad. Hopefully summer will arrive sooner than we think?! (wishful thinking)

So, i hope you like my review of the Latest in Beauty Refresh & Recover box, as far as i know they are still available from the link at the top of the post.

Did you buy a Refresh & Recover box, Did it leave you pining for summer like me? Let me know what you though?

Lots of Love

My 'Lush!' Pamper Evening

If you read my last post, you'll know i bought a few things in 'Lush' to try out, and i have to say i had great fun doing so.

Sunday Evening, i decided to run a nice bath and try out my dragons egg bath bomb. its amazing to watch, and the results are awesome!
Dragons Egg Bath Bomb
The bomb itself smells quite like sherbet, its fragranced with Jasmine, Citrus & Bergamot, it smells delicious
As soon as you put the bomb in the water it starts going mad fizzing away, it contains popping candy so the fizzing is louder than normal and you get the odd crackle, the bomb it just white to start with, it has weird confetti bits in, on the lush website they are described as 'paper dragon scales' (they go a bit mushy and slimy after being in the water for a while though)

After a few Minutes

The outer layer of the bomb seemed to last forever, it filled the whole bathroom with its gorgeous sherbety smell and the bath with lovely white bubbles. After a while the exciting things started to happened, bright orange/gold fizz started coming out, slowly at first but then the egg well and truly hatched, and filled the bath with a beautiful, orange glittery yolk.

Dragons egg makes the water orange and has flecks of glitter in it. (the glitter doesn't stick to your skin & the colour didn't stain my mums white bath)
Bathing in this, made my skin feel so soft, it was really very relaxing, and i don't know if the bomb had anything to do with it, but my hair was really soft too! would definitely recommend, if you wanted a bit of a fun bath bomb and something to make your skin (and possibly hair) lovely and soft!

My next treat, courtesy of 'Lush' was my oatifix face mask, I'd been dying to try this out as i cant even describe how delicious it smells, literally i just want to eat it out of the tub! The mask is made from bananas combined with oatmeal and ground almonds.
This mask is a little bit messy to apply, because of the oatmeal it doesn't smooth on very well, i found it difficult to get it off my fingers and onto my face, because the mask has to be kept in the fridge, it feels so nice when you put it on really cooling and fresh.
 The lady in the shop advised me to leave it on for about 5 minutes (though she added that she leaves hers on for about half an hour) my skin has been particularly dry the past few weeks, probably dues to the cold weather and my poor care, so i left mine on for 30 minutes.
With My Oatifix Mask On

As you wash the mask off (which is also abit messy) the oatmeal in it is a really gentle exfoliater, so that helped buff away some dead skin too. The mask worked a treat, my skin felt so, so soft it was amazing, and the smell lingered around so i felt like i smelt good enough to eat!
I was told by the sales assistant that i would probably get 3 masks out of the pot, possibly i didn't use enough, but i think i will probably get more than 3! maybe even 5?! definitely well worth the money!
I used my third 'Lush' product after this, which was my charity pot, hand & Body moisturiser, this cream is divine! my skin already felt soft from the mask but, the cream sank in like a dream and my skin, amazing! i don't think I've ever felt my skin feel so soft and hydrated it really was amazing, and i couldn't recommend theses two products enough especially if you have dry skin!

I am amazingly pleased with my 'Lush' purchases and will definitely be shopping there again, i want to try out different bath bomb ands maybe a different face mask (once my oatifix has run out) I highly recommend them, for their quality of product and product ethics.

Hope you've enjoyed my review

Lots of Love

*This review is entirely my own opinions, it is no way affiliated with 'Lush Cosmetics' I bought all the products myself, and are not PR samples.

Shopping Time...

So, i got my student loan yesterday (2 days early!) and my rent also went out, so what I'm left with is mine to spend! (Bar Phone Bill/Insurance & My Car Tax is Due!) Wahoo. Anyway, i needed to go shopping to get some bits for my Assignment/Assessment. I'd also made a list of all the things i wanted to buy myself, when i had Moolah.

Top of the List was LUSH!, I've seen so many blog posts about lush recently, i decided i just had to try it out! (I'm not a lush virgin i just don't shop there often & rarely for myself) Sadly there was no sale stuff left :( but i bought myself;

- Dragons Egg Bath Bomb, I've seen 2/3 posts about this bath bomb, and it looks amazing! so i wanted to try it out for myself! I will do a post for it once I've used it, and will upload some pictures. £3.15 Per Bomb

- Oatifix Face Mask, My skin detests winter, it gets SO dry, the very nice lady in Lush! suggested i use this one, and tested it on the back of my hand to show me what it was like....it actually smells like you could eat it. The mask is a mixture of, Bananas, Vanilla and Oats, it also has ground almonds in it, it honestly smells like you could either just eat it right out the tub for breakfast or whack it in the oven and make the most delicious banana bread! "A delicious face mask to cleanse, soften and moisturise dry and sensitive skin." I cant wait to try it it, and will do another post on it to let you know how i get on. £5.75 Per 75g (the assistant said i could probably get about 3 masks out of it)

- Charity Pot Hand & Body Lotion; I bought this on a whim, its a tiny tin (the same tin as the lip tints) It cost £1 and as far as I'm aware the whole pound goes to charity. i thought it was great just to keep in my hand bag, just to put on any dry patches, it has Almond Oil and Cocoa Butter in so again smells yummy! I think £1 well spent. £1 Per 10g

Lush! Goodies

Next on my list was Soap & Glory make up From Boots, I've been looking everywhere for this make up, most Boots stores seem to have the stand, but not many seem to have any actual products. I don't know if this is because its been amazingly popular, or because they are just having supply issues. But i went into my boots with my fingers crossed, the things i most wanted was the eye primer ('It's About Prime) and the Cheek & Lip tint (CheekMate) I also really want to try the Concealer (Kick Ass Concealer) but everywhere seems to be sold out AND most stores I've been to don't even have testers, so i wouldn't know what colour to buy.
Soap & Glory cosmetics are also one 3 for 2! And i had a voucher for 200 extra points when you spend £10 on the make up range!

- Soap & Glory, CheekMate, Lip & Cheek Stain, YAY it was the last one on the shelf! Soap & Glory is probably my favourite brand! I Love everything they make So I'm hoping the cosmetic range is just as great! I haven't used it yet but i shall do a review on it once i have £8.00 per 11ml Tube

-Soap & Glory, It's About Prime, Eyeshadow Primer, They had a few of these left AND they had testers! This primer comes in 2 colours Bright Light (a shimmery off white colour) & Smokey (silver) i chose to get Bright Light as i thought it was more suitable for everyday wear. so far I've only tested it on the back of my hand but it felt so smooth! so I'm hoping its going to be good! Again i will do a full review once I've tested it out! £8.00 Per 5ml Tube

- Soap & Glory, Face & Body Brush, As the cosmetics were on 3 for 2 i though i might as well take advantage of the offer, though there wasn't very many more products to choose from, and the majority or them didn't have testers, so i decided not to get another make up product and go for the brush instead, its a really cute small Kabuki style brush and its so so soft! £9.00 Per Brush

Soap & Glory Goodies!

In Boots I also got;

-Barry M, Glossy Tube (Maybe Number 4?) This is a lovely Nude Gloss, I can be a bit funny with lip gloss i don't really like them especially sticky ones! And if they taste nice i tend to end up licking them off! This lip gloss isn't sticky, and it smells lovely :) its a really hand size just to throw in a handbag, and its a straight from the tube applicator. £3.99 Per 10ml Tube

- Barry M, Instant Nail Effects, Foil Effects (319) This is a gorgeous silver nail polish, it has a really nice opaque colour! It literally looks like you have foils on you nails! And i love Barry M nail colours just because of the variety of colours they come and they are more often then not on offer! Today was no disappointment, with 2 purchases from Barry M you got a FREE Barry M Nail Effects Limited Edition! £3.99 Per10ml Bottle

- Barry M, Limited Edition Effects, Silver Glitter (149?) This is clear polish with teenie tiny flicks of silver glitter in, so it'd be good to use as a top coat to glam up any nail colour. I think it has a good amount of glitter in, some glitter polishes you get, you have to put on 5 coats before you get 10 pieces of glitter! Not this one! and because the glitter is in smaller pieces its more subtle :) FREE! but you can also buy it £3.99 Per 10ml Bottle.

Barry M Goodies

- No7 Airbrush Away, Primer, I saw a review of this on ReallyRee's Blog, and was amazed at how good it looked! I'd been debating whether or not to buy this product, but after seeing Ree's review i made up my mind! At the moment I'm using Benefit Professional and I've really liked it, so i shall review/compare the No7 once i get around to using it! £19.50 Per 30ml Tube (At The moment, if you spend £5 in Boots you get a free £5 off No7 Voucher Making it, £14.50!)

No7 Airbush Away

I also got a gorgeous Pie Dish in the 1/2 price Christmas sale, from a brand called Rosie's Pantry! it came with a flour shaker and a pastry brush, which I'm not to bothered about but i though the Dish looked really cute, and i LOVE cooking and baking! £18.50 £9.25 For The Set.

Pie Dish

My mum asked me to go into Marks & Spencer's to grab something for my Nienie's tea (grandma) So while in there i had a nosey around their sale stuff and found these!

- Tess Daly Beauty, Daily Face Glow, According to the label this is exclusive to Marks & Spencer's, I've never bought any of their make up before, but i thought this looked really good! Its a nice sized compact, and inside has a mirror, the product its self is a creamy texture, and you only need the tiniest bit! you get loads too! I think this could be lasting a while, I will do a full review on it once I've used it properly, only swatched it so far! £9.50 £3.50 £2.50 Per 15g Compact. (BARGAIN!)

 - V & A Vintage Kilburn Storage Tins x3, I fell in love with these tins as soon as i saw them, i love love love the print on them, which is "Adapted from a design for a printed textile by William Kilburn" they also had a set of nesting cake tins that match which i definatly would have got but they only had one and it had a massive dent in it :( i think they had a biscuit barrel too! They are the perfect size for keeping Tea & Coffee etc. in BUT they would also make a GREAT make up brush holder ;) £12 £9 £5 For a Set of Three

Beautiful Tins

My Final Purchase was a coat in New Look, I've longed for a Barbour jacket for i cant remember how long! But now they are EVERYWHERE I've slightly gone off the idea, while scouring the sale racks, i found this beauty. The only one AND in my size, i think it was meant to be. Though it is Barbour-esque, its not the common quilted style, its luuurrrvly wax style. and an absolute steal at £10 down from £39.99!

So all in all a successful days shopping i feel! I shall do some more posts reviewing the products i bought, once I've tested them all out!
 Did anyone else get some AMAZING bargains in the sale?

Lots of Love

First Post! About Me!

So, for my first post I thought I'd do a kind of get to know me post. I'm not yet organised enough, to do a review post, but when the January Glossy Box comes out I'll be all over that! So i found these questions on YouTube i just searched 'personal questions tag'
I hope as my first post, it isn't to boring, but i promise, (because I'm new to blogging) as i get more into this blogging stuff, they will be more make up/beauty related :)
So here goes...I hope you enjoy!

Just some basic info before i start the questions;
My name is Alice...( you maybe have already guessed) I'm in my 2nd year of University, I'm study Media & Special Effects Make Up, deep down i am completely loving it, though occasionally i loathe it, some days i just think I WANT TO DO MAKE UP, yet i find myself sat at my desk having to do written work; essays, sketchbooks, power points! But if it gets me to where i want to be and *fingers crossed* it will, i enjoy it none the less. I'm from Cornwall, and i wear flip flops nearly everyday even in winter, my friends mock me for this, and joke that they know its an especially cold day if i have different shoes on....
