She Said Beauty; September

I'm slowly catching up on my missed posts, i have quite a back log of them.
But today, She Said Beauty.
The September box;

PopChips; These are essentially crisps, though they aren't fried or baked. They're popped. They contain less fat and calories than regular fried crisps. They tasted really good, the only downside in the pack you only got literally 5/6 crisps. I think in an actual packet you get a lot more. But for the size of the bag i was expecting at least a couple more. But they were lovely. They also come in Original and Barbecue flavour. I'd really like to try some other flavours.

Ginvera Green Tea Marvel Gel; This is a very gentle exfoliator, it works by dissolving the dry skin rather than sloughing it away with rough particles. This gel literally melts you dead skin away, its a little bit disgusting, but amazing. You apply it to a dry face, and massage it in. As you massage you can actually see your dead/dry skin peeling away. I'm not to keen on the smell, but it leaves my skin feeling so incredibly soft.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil; This cleanser comes from Japan, It thoroughly dissolved dirt, oil and cosmetics. Oily cleansers are especially good on waterproof mascara. The other great thing about this cleanser is that it completely rinses away with water. I've not used this cleanser yet, but from what I've read I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask; Is a refreshing deep cleansing mask, that draws out dirt and impurities. It also helps soak up excess oil and prevents blemishes. The mask contains refreshing lime and peppermint,as well as french white clay and natural anti-bacterial Zinc Oxide which helps reduce and clear spots.
You all know i love my face masks, and although this isn't particularly suited to my skin, I'm definitely going to try it out, as i think the lime and peppermint sound amazing.

Collection Primed & Ready Smoothing Makeup Primer; This is a silky smooth make up primer. It helps smooth the appearance of open pores and also any fine lines. The tube is teeny tiny 18ml, if you're just starting out with primers or even make up, it would probably be a good starting product. Collection products are usually reasonably priced and the tube is small enough to not have to commit to much but big enough to have a good  ol' test of the product.

Collection Fix Me Up Make Up Fixer; I would compare this to MAC fix +, but i won't. Though the concepts are the same, its a spray to fix your make up, the collection spray smells horrible. MAC fix+ is a delight to use, Collection Fix Me Up. No thanks. Yucky. If you want to try it out, its a small enough bottle, and i suppose it does its job of keeping your make up intact. But its whether or not you can deal with the funny smell?

September She Said Beauty, some nice 'different' products. I liked the appearance of some crisps, nice little change.
What did you think of this months box?

100 Followers & 100th Post Giveaway

So I've reached (and passed) 100 followers! And this post coincidentally is my 100th post!
Pretty cool, huh?
Well anyway, i thought I'd have a little giveaway, to say thank you to all my lovely readers and followers.
I cant quite believe I've reached 100 followers especially as I've been the worst blogger over the summer.
I'm hoping now, everything's settled down a bit, I'll be able to start getting back into the swing of thing properly (I've said that a million times but i actually mean it this time! haha)

So to celebrate this little milestone, i have some goodies for you, from one of my favourite shops. You can probably guess, which one. I've chosen some of my personal favourite products, and also one new product, well new to me, not new to the shop.
Want a peek?

Lush!! Did you guess correctly?
In the goody bag, will be;
- Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, and
- Sugar Scrub, Body Scrub

I've linked Sunny Side & Dragons egg, as I've already done little reviews on them. Lemony flutter I've been using for a while, not as a cuticle cream, but as an intensive foot cream. After i have my cast off (from breaking my leg) I had the most hideously dry feet, and this worked an actual treat! I couldn't recommend this enough, especially if you've had a cast on.
The sugar scrub, is something I'm yet to try, i did buy one for myself while purchasing this lot. The lovely girl in the shop helped me pick this one out, and it sounds like a really great product. She suggested breaking it up into four pieces, to maximise the usage. But she said you can use it all in one go if you want a really hardcore scrub.

Entering will be simple, all you'll need to do is fill in the rafflecopter form below. But as usual there are just a couple of teeny rules.
Play Fairly.
Have Fun.
Open To UK Only. (Sorry)
Once a winner is chosen they will be notified, if no reply after 4 days, a new winner will be chosen.
Once the prize is posted it is no longer my responsibility, it will be in the care of Royal Mail. I will ensure all items have sufficient packaging to reach you in an acceptable condition.
You need to be a follower of my blog.

The Giveaway will be open for 3 Weeks and will end on,  October 17th 2012.

Again thank you, to all my readers and followers.
And Good Luck Everyone.

Lots of Love

Lux Box; August

August LuxBox already. Though i think i should be more surprised that its already September?! errrm hiya time, wanna slow down a little bit? Thanks.
This months box, had some interesting bits in. Wanna see?

Murad Oil Free Sun Screen; Odd product to send at the the end of the 'summer'. well actually i suppose it isn't, as you are meant to wear sunscreen everyday. Its a very small bottle so, wouldn't be suitable for applying to the body. Its more of a face sample i think. Wearing an SPF everyday helps fight premature ageing. Though its not something i always do, Its at least something to think about.

Immerse Me Face Mask; This sounds like the perfect mask for me 'Immerse me is a salve for face parched and dry' That is my face parched and dry. It goes on to say the mask soaks in in a 'jiffy'. The mask contains Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which hydrates the skin and improves water retention up to 1000 times its own weight. Its a sheet mask, which i much appreciate these days they are low fuss and easy to use. I cant wait to try this out.

SkinKind Unique Deep Skin Moisturiser; This is a light weight gel/cream moisturiser, its fairly moisturising and can be used on any skin type and as a day or a night cream. The cream smooths in really nicely and is lightly fragranced, the scent reminds me of Nivea creme. The cream consistency feels nice, i look forward to using it.

Betty Hula The Secret Anti Ageing Oil; I've never tried any BettyHula products but, I've heard good things about them. I've not broken the seal on this yet, so i cant even tell you what it smells like. But I'm excited to try it out! and LuxBox have got a great offer, with 60% off until the end of December

Finally Black & White Genuine Pluko, Hair Dressing Pomade. Not really sure about this, i work in boots and we keep this in the men's section. It also has that mans hair stuff smell. I'm not really sure it'd work in my long hair. Though it does say you can use it to add texture, and that you apply to from the root through the mid-lengths to the ends, so maybe? I don't know. What do you think of this product?

Overall pretty pleased with this box, plenty of products I'll use and look forward to trying.
What do you think?

Lux Box; July

This is so late, and i apologise. Its that late, that I've already received this months box! So I've actually got 2 posts to write for LuxBox.
So July's Box (that i think came in august? i get confused with their box months)

Inika Certified Organic Eyeliner; Inika has featured in a few boxes, this is the first eyeliner I've received. I got the gorgeous Peacock blue. Quite a light blue, with a beautiful shimmer. The pencil is so soft and glides on really nicely.

Gatineau Essential Skin Corrector; This cream is a corrective cream, that smooths out the first signs of wrinkles and improves skin radiance. It RRPs at £69/50ml The cream has quite a thick consistency, and is lightly fragranced. It feels as though it'd work well on my dry skin.

Magnifibres Brush on False Lashes; I think this is the product I've been most excited about. Since the Models Co Fibre Lash came out I've been dying to try brush on fibres. I'll do a full blog post on them once I've had a practise and seen what i think of them. This retails for £20

BRTC Gold Caviar BB Cream; I'm a bit worried these aren't going to be the right colour, i haven't opened them yet to find out, But this BB cream is made with caviar extract, which helps nourish the skin. It also helps tighten wrinkled and droopy skin.

Yana Cosmetics Foundation; This is a lightweight, fully coverage creamy foundation which is suitable for all skin types. I received shade 6 which is waaaaay to dark for me, I may try and mix it with another foundation to see if i can make it a bit lighter, just so i can try it out. I've tried it on the back of my hand and it blends nicely, and has a very matte finish. Hopefully I'll be able to get it mixed to a more suitable colour and give it a proper try.

That's July Lux box, overall i am very pleased with it. Apart from the foundation sample being a bit dark, I'll get use out of all the products.

Latest In Beauty; In-Flight Box

I feel like i got this box ages ago, which really i did, but I've been so out of my blogging sync I'm behind on all my box reviews I'm afraid.
So, the In Flight box was part of the Latest In Beauty, YOU range. The box contains pre,in and post flight essentials.
"Consider this your first class box of travelling beauty essentials"
everything in the box meets the strict 100ml liquid limits, so you are able to pack all of it in your hand luggage/carry on bag.
Now I'm not planning on flying anywhere soon (well i am, but more on that another day) but i thought this box looked great, it contained products i already love and new products for me to try. Which i think is the perfect mix, sometimes all new products aren't the best boxes.
Have i rambled enough? shall i just show you whats in it? i thought so.

LIB beauty boxes come in fairly small boxes, and this one contained so many products it was jam packed, it was like a puzzle trying to work out how to fit everything back in when I'd pulled it out!

I'll start with this, yes your eyes don't deceive you, it is a FULL SIZE O.P.I polish, yippeee. The colour is 'William Tell Me About It' Its a deep, purple/cherry/red/Burgundy colour. I think deep cherry is a good description. It'll be a great Autumn/Winter colour. A bit dark for 'Summer' i think. I cant wait to wear it, with big wooly jumpers and leggings.

Jurlique, Rosewater Balancing Mist. This is a hydrating mist to refresh the skin. The leaflet with the box, recommends using this while on the flight, great a idea yeah? I always find flying ruins my skin, it makes it so incredibly dry especially if I'm flying long haul (which isn't very often) I'll loving these refreshing sprays at the moment as well.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry. For giving your hair a little refreshment after a long flight. I love the mini cans, I tend to only get the mini cans rather than a large one, purely because i only really use dry shampoo on my fringe so a mini one last me ages. I've had larger cans in the past, but i find i just tend to lose them. I'm loving the cherry scent as well.

StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF30, The sun cream has a lovely texture and a pretty pleasant scent. You're supposed to use sunscreen everyday on your face. This is only a 7ml sample, so it wont do much of my body, and as our 'Summer' is slowly fading away I'll probably just end up using this as a moisturiser. What intrigued me most about this little set is the wristband that was included, you're supposed to wear the band on a daily basis, and when it turns blue you are exposed to harmful UV radiation. I haven't yet tried it out. But I'm keen to see how it works.

Mythic Oil, one of my all time favourite products. This one is different though, its Mythic Oil, Colour Glow Oil Radiance Oil For Colour Treated Hair. It doesn't look or smell any different from regular Mythic Oil and I'm still going to use it even though my hair isn't colour treated.

Xen-Tan is a product I've been wanting to try for a long time, I've read so many good things about it. But wasn't sure if i really wanted to commit to a full size product as i don't tan all that often. This is a 30ml sample, how far that will go who knows, hopefully I'll be able to do both my legs with it. Its a weekly self-tan lotion in dark, I tend to go for dark as in the summer i naturally tan very well, and tend to go quite a dark golden colour, if i see enough sunshine!
Can't wait to try this out, and perhaps get a full size product.

A tin of mints, strange thing to get a beauty box. But i love them! I love cinnamon mints it reminds me of good times in America with my family. I also love the tin they come in, its like something some ones grandad would have. I plan to keep these in my car, as i think the tin is a bit bulky to keep in my handbag. When all the mints are gone, i will find a use for the tin as its just to nice to throw away.

Alfresco, Beauty Without Bites, Acqua D'Alfresco, is a natural insect repellent, its highly fragranced and smells like something that i just cant put my finger on it, i think its a bit sandal woody or cinnamon-y. It also contains botanical extracts, its pretty strong scented, so i don't really know how good that'll be a deterring the insects? Perhaps if it contained citronella.

Garnier BB cream samples. I'm sure if I've told you this before, but i much prefer the sample sachets to the full size product. I have no idea why i just do. I'm slowly getting a bit of a collection of theses now, so i really need to start using them.

One sachet of powdered Acai Berry, Acai Berries have great nutritional value. you add the sachet to a glass of water to help give your skin a radiance boost from the inside. Acai Berries are full of antioxidants, though I'm sure I've tried them and they don't have the most pleasant flavour?

And last but not least, Good to go anywhere, sanitising wipes. This handy pack contains 4 wipes of 3 different varieties. 1 disinfectant wipe, for making surfaces clean and safe 2 soft absorbent tissue, for wiping what ever you need to and 1 sanitising hand wipe, for cleaning your handies. I'm thinking by tissue they possible mean, like a blow your nose on tissue? i was hoping it might be some kind of wet wipe? anyway. its a pretty handy strip to keep in your hand bag or travel bag. I need to investigate where to buy these.

So that's the YOU; In Flight box?
I'm very pleased with it i must say.
What do you think?

P.s Dont forget i'm having a blog sale, which you can check out here.

August Empties

Its that time of the month again, how quickly did August go? was it just me? or did August literally fly by, i feel like I've blinked and its September already and dare i say it, but It WILL be Christmas before we know it?!
'During August, i;ve been having a big clear out in my room, as the plan was when i go back to uni my mum would redecorate for me, as my room is the only room in the house that hasn't been 'done-up' (yes i did have a mini hissy fit about this) So anyway i've been clearing out my stuff and I'm trying to get rid of a lot of it. I've been pretty ruthless, but i think i need to be even more ruthless.
I'm rambling now, basically what I'm trying to say is, the products featured here, aren't all 'empties' some i am simply getting rid of because they are past their best and would be more suited to the bin than on my skin/in my toiletries box/in my make up bag.

I'll start with the products i have actually finished...

Lavera, Moisturising Cream for dry & mature skin. I love this cream! and if i ever get through my stash of face creams I'll definitly be purchasing this one. It makes my skin feel love, and it has a gorgeous Rosy smell.

L'Occitane, Divine Cream. I'm still undecided about this cream, i don't love it or hate it. I'm completely on the fence. I think I've got a couple more samples, but i doubt I'd be buying the full size.

Weleda, Wildrose Night Cream. I really enjoyed this cream, it was lovely to put on after a cleansed face before bed. Night creams is something i don't have as much of an abundance of so i may perhaps purchase this full size.

Caudalie, SOS Thirst Quenching Serum. I am in love with this. Its actually amazing, i quite often have really dry skin, and my skin absolutely loves this stuff. It feels amazing! I did actually repurchase the full size of this while i was in France. But I'm yet to start it, as i still have 1 sample to use up. Hopefully i wont need to repurchase this for a while.

Melvita, Micellar Water. I was so sad when this finished. I loved the smell, and the product was really good at its job. I used it on a couple of make up clients and they all commented on how nice it smelt and how nice it left their skin. I'd really like to purchase a full size, even if its just to keep in my make up kit. Though i have got a bottle of bioderma to try out. So we shall see.

Soap & Glory, Off Your Face wipes. I don't particularly rate these wipes. I find them to be quite dry and just a bit meh. They don't make my skin feel that clean or cleansed. They aren't something I'd be purchasing again.

Lush, Sunnyside Bubble Bar. You can read the product review here. More than likely repurchase this, its got a really uplifting and refreshing citrus scent to it.

Lush, Skin Drink, sample. This little sample pot lasted me ages, it was great. The Skin Drink moisturiser made my skin feel nice, but i wasn't overly keen on the scent, it kind of reminded me of peanut butter or something nutty. It was strange.

Boots, Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Face Mask. Bought this on a whim, only cost me 99p a bit meh. Probably won't buy again. Didn't notice much difference in my skin condition. The peel of effect left a funny feeling on my skin aswell.

Carex, Splash Gel. I loooooovee alcohol hand gel. I always have on in my bag, they are so handy and helpful. This one has a really nice clean smell to it. I'm currently addicted to The Body Shop ones, they smell YUMMY!

Charlie, Touch. Always keep a body spray in my hand bag. Currently have Impulse Love Puzzle in there. This one is ok, i found the scent quite sickly after a while. Its Rose and Vanilla musk, so it's quite nice. But it felt a bit heavy sometimes, for a body spray.

Batiste Dry Shampoo, Blush. I like this brand of dry shampoo, and i like the mini size. I only ever use it on my fringe so don't use it all that much, much prefer the scented ones to the original. currently using cherry, and loving it.

Elemantal Herbology, Facial Hydrator & Facial Cleanser. Didn't like either of these, didn't like the smell or anything about them. Blurgh. Won't be purchasing the full size.

SnowBerry, Face Serum, Rich Day Cream & Night Cream. Didn't like any of these, they smelt horrible and make my skin feel sticky and yuuck. I was really hoping i liked these as i really like the packaging.

The rest of the items, are things I've just decided to get rid of either because they are out of date or they never get used or they've just gone a bit funny.

Soap & Glory, The Righteous Butter Lite & Hand Food. Both of these have started to smell a bit off, so i thought it best to bin them. I really like the The Righteous Butter Lite, its more of a lotion consistency so is nice, if the body butter a bit to rich i just use this one, its quick to absorb aswell.
Love the hand cream, leaves my hands lovely and soft and smells amaziiiinnggg.

Balance Me, Rose Otto Salve, I don't know if this has gone off or what, but it just doesn't look/smell right, so its getting binned. Its been open a while and has been used for ages. i have about a billion lip balms so wont be buying another.

Badger, Lip & Body Balm. I loved this balm when i got it. But if the best by date is anything to go by it went off in 2010! It was a really good balm when it was new though.

Malibu, Pina Colada Lip Balm. I'm not even going to tell you how long i've had this lip balm. I just love the smell though, its so summery and coconutty. mmmmmmm.

Carmex, Cherry. Possibly my favourite lipbalm EVER. It smells so gooooooddd. I'd prefer it in a stick though, do they make cherry carmex in a stick? I've seen it in a tube. I just love this balm, its one that actually feels like its doing something. and smells and tastes so so so good.

Lush Colour Supplement. I didn't get a lot of use out of this, i think because it wasn't quite the right colour. But this went out of date a looooooong time ago, so its finally getting chucked.

Eyeko, Magic liquid Eyeliner. This was just a mixing medium, that you could put with any eyeshadow to make it into an eyeliner, when i first got this i remember it being the best thing since sliced bread. i used it all the time. But I've used it that much its gotten quite grimy and yuck. Its also so old, and hasn't been used in probably at least a year if not a lot longer.I would like to find something similar, though i think water does a similar thing.

No7 Extreme Length mascara. This used to be my favourite ever mascara, but only in the mini size. I got the full size once and didn't like it as much. But this one has well and truly dried up/been used up.

Rimmel Nail Tip Whitener. I'm binning this because its gone so gluey and gloopy. and the fact a rarely use it.

Collection 2000 & Rimmel eye pencils, way to old to even think about using anywhere near my eyes. Time for the bin.

Clean & Clear, Skin Brightening Moisturiser. This hasn't gone off, or anything. But there's only a small amount left and, i wont be using it, i completely went off this moisturiser. I love the smell of it, and it was great wake me up smell in the morning, and it made me skin feel lovely. But its so sparkly, and this makes me sad. I don't like my products to have glitter in (well i do, but you know what i mean) This is nice in summer. If they made it without the shimmer, I'd love it.

Boots, Time Delay facial gradual tan. This has definitely gone off. It smells really weird. I didn't really like this product either tbh, which is why there is so much left.

And that's its for my August Empties. Sorry its such a long post!
and i am really going to try and get back into the swing of blogging. I have a bajillion posts lined up for you and lots of excited things happening.

Glossy Box; Harrods Edition

A few months ago, Glossy Box ran an offer where if you ordered that months month you could choose to have either a Harrods box or the Earthy/Natural box completely free with your order, this was for new subscribers only, so i set up a new account to order a 2nd box for that month and chose to get the Harrods box for free, as i had already had a couple of the Natural boxes.
I was really actually very very pleased with my Harrods boxes, as there tend to be a bit of difference in products most month, i really wasn't expecting to get this Harrods box. But here's what i got...

The Erno Laszlo samples, I've received in a number of beauty boxes so i shan't talk about them agaaiiiinnn.
Also the Clarins cream i got in my original Harrods box, so you can read about that here.

The Remaining three products are the ones i am most excited about, i believe this may have been 'the good box' first time around.

This, Burberry lipstick. Isn't it just beautiful? I believe its in the colour rosewood? I can't lay my hands on it to double check, and I've conveniently unpacked the box already. Everything about it feels so luxurious. The packaging is beautiful and the lipstick itself is even embossed with the Burberry pattern, its a teeny tiny sample. But it is beautiful.

Such a nice perfume, I am completely useless at describing scents. Is anyone good at describing perfume? I shall tell you what it includes, though tbh I'm not sure if that's ever useful? most of the time if i read a list of whats in a perfume I'm like great, no clue what any of that is. But i looooove the smell haha.
Top Notes
A fresh radiant opening
• Lemon petit grain from Sicily
• Tangerine from Calabria
• Green tea - blackcurrant accord
Heart Notes:
A solar floral heart
• Broom flower Absolute from Italy
• Yellow jasmine accord
Base Notes:
A sensual addictive base
• Patchouli from Indonesia
• Soft leather accord

Now you know exactly how it smells haha.

Probably the product I'm most excited about! Ojon Damage Reverse Hair Serum!! YaaY, it was worth ordering the extra box just for this item i think. I'm so excited to try it out, and i am expecting miracles. so *fingers crossed*

Did you take advantage of the the Glossy Box offer waaaaaaaay back?
Natural or Harrods?

Accessorize Sale *Picture Heavy*

This post is SO late in posting, massive apologies!

So the Accessorize sale went to 70% off. Accessorize isn't normally a shop i go in, or not very often any. But as i was in town i thought I'd have a little look. Not one of my best ideas. I've never been one for wearing much jewellery, but i really want to get into wearing a nice necklace or some bracelets. I think it really does finish an outfit off. I envy people who can put pieces together and look great. so I'm going to make a conscious effort from now on, to wear a necklace with every outfit. So, here's my Accessorize stash;

I also bought a lovely floral belt and a couple of headbands but couldn't locate them to photograph.
I don't think I'll be short of necklaces for a while, and I'm pretty sure i have once that would go with anything in wardrobe?!
They were all such bargains as well, i don't think i paid more than £3 for any of them!

Did you pick anything up in the sales?

Lots of Love
