Boots Haul

This isn't a massive haul, and to be honest i didn't really buy anything much exciting. Though i did treat myself to a little something.

- Sure Fragrance collection deodorant, I saw this on Shona's (FreshBeautyxox) YouTube video, and she mention it smelt like parma violets. I was in need of a new deodorant anyway, so thought I'd give this one a go. So far I'm really enjoying it.

- Soltan hair and scalp protector SPF 30, Since I've got my fringe cut, I've noticed my scalp is burning, while I'm out in the sunshine, particularly in the parting. Burning you're scalp i think is one of the worst places to burn, it hurts to tie you hair up, it hurts to wash, it hurts to brush, not only those, but when you skin starts to peel, you get horrendous dandruff, and i don't know about anyone else, but mine isn't like normal dandruff its MASSIVE flakes like whole chunk of my scalp. So I've got this in the hope it wont happen again.

- Soltan, Tan & Protect SPF 15, The day after i bought this it poured with rain and pretty much has done ever since. this is always typical. But as you may know my now I'm off on my holidays next week, though the weather forecast looks about as promising as it looks here. So we'll see if i get any use out of it.

- Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze moisturiser, I saw someone tweet about this i think possibly kellie from Big Fashionista blog, about how this was giving her a lovely bronzey glow. I fancied one of those summer glow moisturisers, so picked this up in boots, it has the classic Cocoa Butter smell to it *yummmm* and like it says does give you a nicey nice bronze colour. My only problem, since having my cast of i have had disgustingly dry skin around my feet area, and this kind of clung to it, so i got those tell tale, tan-tastic ankles. I stopped using it for a bit to get my dry skin problem under control, so will start using it again soon, so if it does rain the whole time I'm in France, i can still come back a bronzed beauty (and pretend it was 30degrees every day) 

- And finally my little treat to myself, Umberto Gianni, Glam Hair, The Marcella triple barrel wavers. I wanted either large barrel curling tongs or a set of wavers. These were on offer, for around £25 i umm'd and umm'd about which i wanted, and eventually decided on these. I like them, they heat up quickly and are easy to use, I'm not wow by the effect, but its nice and subtle. I used these on my mums hair and hers is a lot shorter than mine, just above the shoulders, it looked great in her hair, almost like finger waving! Whereas in my long, way past the shoulders hair, it was almost 80s-esque almost like I'd crimped it. I might just need some practise at it, next time i might try straightening my hair first so it'd be a more sleeker. The frizzy mess my hair normally is didn't really help the overall effect! But i shall persevere and hopefully start to love them, does anyone have any tips for using a waver?

Boots also had an offer on, Once you spent over £15, you got a whopping 10 points per £1! So my points also got a nice little boost!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

There has been so much hype about this product, and I am a sucker for product hype.

When i was in boots the other day i treated my self to this...

Today i thought I'd put it to the test. I didn't have a very challenging nail polish on Models Own in Utopia

The concept of Bourjois 1 Second nail polish remover is simple. Inside the pot is a sponge with a hole in the middle, the sponge is soaked with nail polish remover, so you just dip your finger in the hole, give it a little twist and it comes out clean, it really is as simple as that. Look...

this was a simple polish to remove, so it did literally take 1 second per nail, though i think with different colours and definitely glitters you may need a few more seconds, but its still super speedy!

Ta-Dah

This product is a little pricey for what it is, at £4.99 on boots.com (Bourjois are currently buy one get one half price) And I've already seen some people blog cheaper dupes. But its handy and fast, and depending how long it lasts it could be well worth the monies. It also leave a yummy scent behind fruity and vanilla-ry, much better than that horrible chemical smell!

So what do you think? Worth the hype?

Mini Boots Haul

I always make a mental list of all the things i wish to purchase in Boots, then as soon as i step foot in store i cannot remember a single one, only being 21 this slightly worries be. But i did my usual forgetting what actually need, (which turned out to be shampoo) and bought these lovely goodies instead.

The Sally Hansen Cuticle remover, i saw somewhere that some one had recommended it very highly, my cuticles have been pretty neglected for a while now, and being mostly bed bound i thought it was the perfect opportunity to get them back to looking semi nice. I used this the other night, and i have to say i was SO impressed, i wasn't expecting such great results, but i honestly think this products amazing. You just put it on, leave for 1-2 minutes (though i got distracted by the TV alot, so more like 5mins) and your cuticle pretty much melts away, that or its so supple you can just push it down and nip it off, an absolute treat. so quick and easy. I think this product retails for around £6, but its well worth the money!

Beauty Fixation is a brand I've not used before, i often look at their products while browsing in boots, but was yet to purchase anything. when i went in just the other day many of their products were reduced. i picked up the 'Tinted Lip Conditioner' they also had cuticle condition, and a nail polish remover one. These are handy little cotton buds with the product stored in the middle tube, you snap one end, and the other fills with product, you then just apply. easy peasy. I cant say i was amazed by the lip conditioner, it did make my lips feel nice, but the product itself was very oily, and there wasn't really much tint to it. These were about £3 on clearance, i definitely wouldn't have paid the full price for them, and i don't think I'll be purchasing them again.

At the moment, Models Own nail polishes are 2 for £8 and I'm finding it hard to resist, i managed to restrain myself and only get 2 colours (it was difficult) but in the end i decided on 'Purple Haze' & 'Utopia' I haven't got many neutral polishes, I'm more of a bright colours person. But i want to get into neutral nail colours more and i thought Utopia was a good start, its a kind of pastel/neutral mauve/lilac colour. So, its on trend with the pastels and slowly easing my way into neutrals. I could have easily bought every colour, and I'm currently on the hunt for the elusive 'Indian Ocean' so i may need to put in a boots.com order.

The Mavala polish was also on clearance, and it was the last one, so i just had to snap it up. I'm a sucker for glitter polishes these days. and its a gorgeous holo glitter, that has amazing glitter pay off. Its very very similar to the orly polish i blogged about here, but in my opinion you cant have to much nail polish. I think i paid about £2 for this on clearance, and they are normally about £4.50.

I couldn't decide which picture was best, so you got both! the swatches are all just 2 coats.

Overall I'm very pleased with everything i bought, and would definitely recommend, the cuticle gel and models own polish!

Today's Nails I have used No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in 'Sing The Blues'

Sometimes i find No7 polishes can be a bit thin, this one wasn't an exception but it still only took 2 coats to get a nice coverage, so can't complain. The retail at around £7 i think in boots, at the moment as far as I'm aware they are running their 'Spend £5 in store and get a £5 No7 voucher' which makes these beauties just £2! Steal! They also have a great range of colours to!

I painted my toe nails aswell, as i feel so summery at the moment (apart from having a cold) but the weathers been beautiful and i dug out my flip flops, my toe nails got a lovely coat of Orly in Green With Envy. I shan't be putting a picture up, no one wants to see feet! Blurrghh!
