YaY, I Won!

I was lucky enough to win, the lovely Charlotte's (Carlottas Beauty Spot) blog giveaway.
Her blog is full of great posts and product reviews. I love the photography on her blog, her pictures are also so well lit and clear! I highly recommend checking it it out here.
So i bet you're all dying to see what i won, I'm SO excited about it....

So, my prize included; Maybelline Illegal Length Fibre Extension Mascara. This mascara claims to give an instant lash extension effect with no flakes. I cant wait to try it! and one of my best friends has come down on holiday today, so I'm sure it'll get plenty of use this week!

I also got, not one but TWO Revlon lip butters, you may know from previous posts i am in love with Revlon lip butters, they're fast becoming my go to lip product, and if i remember rightly from the competition post these colours aren't available in the UK? (please correct me if I'm wrong) the shades i got are, 001 Pink Truffle & 085 Sugar Plum. I love the colours, and i think these products will also get a lot of use this week!

L; 001 R; 085

My final part of the prize was something I've had my eye on since it came out. Sleek, I-Divine Ultra Mattes Palette, there is two versions of this palette a darks and a brights. I got the darks, which I'm really pleased with as i think the colours in this palette are a lot more wearable than those in the brights. I love sleek palettes, and I'm beginning to get a little collection. The colours are so pigmented and they blend like a dream. They are velvety smooth, I also love the packaging, its really 'sleek' and reminds of the MAC 'build your own' palettes.

Charlotte was also kind enough to slip in a little card congratulating me on my win, which i think was a lovely gesture, as it makes the win a lot more personal and shows she had really put a lot of effort in to the prize.
I couldn't be happier with my prize, products I love, products I've been lusting after and a new product to try. I cant wait.
I'll try and do a FOTD or at least review the mascara etc.

A massive THANK YOU to Charlotte for such a generous prize! And make sure you head over to her blog (link at the top) and say hi!

Have you won any blog giveaways recently?

Whats In My Handbag?

No, I'm not actually going to show you what i lug around in my handbag... well i might, but not right now.
whatsinmyhandbag is something I've come across within the last week or so. i noticed it cropping up all over facebook, so thought I'd check it out, and it really is great!
You basically upload a photo of what beauty items you carry around with you (whats in your handbag ) you can then tag the products and say why you love them, i believe other people can look at them, and you can create your own beauty cabinet of things you'd love to try, another perk of the site (which is why i think people have been signing up) is that you can apply for free samples, each week they have a new sample. You fill in a few details, they will then email if you have been successful and post out your sample.
The week i joined they were offering a Balance Me, Moisture Rich Face Cream. I'm yet to find a moisturiser i really love, so am constantly trying samples. So i signed up for this one, a few days later a received an email telling me i was one of the luck people that got picked, I don't know how many samples are available, so I'm not sure how lucky i actually was, but it still feels like you've won something. I was very excited.
The next week was a Paul & Joe foundation primer (i missed this, as I'd forgotten about this site) and this week is a Miller Harris Perfume sample, (which ends in a couple of hours, so hurry!)

The other day i received a lovely little black box in the post, with a WIMH sticker on it, i couldn't for the life of me think what it was! Memory like a sieve!

I opened it up to find the cutest sticker! I love how personal it is.

And it didn't stop there, underneath the tissue paper was this! Little bag and my sample. I've never known a company put so much effort into sending out a sample, it's little touches like the pouch that i really love.

Its a really great website, and if you're nosey like i am also really interesting. You never know you might discover something you love!
This is my unique URL is you'd like to sign up...

I'm not sure if it benefits me in anyway, but it'd be nice if you used my link, just in case it does :)

So there you go, sign up, have a snoop, you might even get some goodies.

Are you already using whatsinmyhandbag? What do you think of it?

Latest In Beauty; Editors Pick

I haven't bought a LIB themed box, none of them have particularly appealed to me for a while and to be fair this one didn't to begin with., originally there was only two items i really wanted to try. But half way through the day they ran out of Carmex lip balm and replaced it with Pixi lip tint, this swayed my decision and i ended up buying the box!
I do like LIB their delivery is usually pretty speedy, and they come nicely packaged.
(unfortunately my mum binned the packaging before i took the photo!)

Contents
(L-R)
- Velvo Tan, Self Tanning Mit
- Melvita Rose Nectar Moisturiser
- Melvita Rose Nectar Fresh Micellar Water
- Pixi Succulent Lip Twin
- Yardley Peony Eau De Toilette
- Percy & Reed Dry Conditioner
- Elemis Pro-Collegen Body Cream
- Moa The Green Balm

The box i think was around the £8.95 mark, plus around £2/3 postage. So i think its great value for money.

I'm most looking forward to trying the Melvita, i love anything that smells like roses! The Yardley Peony is another favourite, this featured in a couple of beauty boxes, and I'm in love! I've swapped for so many little vials of this!

The Pixi tint was another product i was really excited about. Mine came in No.3 Peony Pink

Its a great duo product, the top, like domed section, is a pigmented balm. the lid then screws off to reveal the tube, which contains a gorgeous pigmented balmy gloss. The colours are really subtle but easily buildable. The solid top section also doubles as a cream blush! so its a 3-in-1 product! perfect for just keeping in you handbag or make up bag.

Top; Solid Balm. Bottom; Gloss.

I'm yet to try the Elemis and Percy & Reed, so i cant really give a good evaluation on them. The Elemis seems a nice consistency, not to thick, like a body butter, but not really watery either, it has a familiar smell to it, kind of like Lily of The Valley. The Percy & Reed is a handy travel size, so i might save this and take it away on my holiday with me. We're camping so i might need this!!
The Moa Green Balm i have talked about in another post here, i've been using it on my scars from surgery, love the smell of it.

I'm pretty sure the box has sold out, but all the items are available as luxury samples on the latestinbeauty website here.
Occasionally they run a waiting list for themed boxes, so it may be worth dropping them an email. While your check out the little beauty boxes, they are great value!

Did you get the editors pick box? What was your favourite product?
