Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

There has been so much hype about this product, and I am a sucker for product hype.
When i was in boots the other day i treated my self to this...

You can see what else i brought in the haul here.
Today i thought I'd put it to the test. I didn't have a very challenging nail polish on Models Own in Utopia

The concept of Bourjois 1 Second nail polish remover is simple. Inside the pot is a sponge with a hole in the middle, the sponge is soaked with nail polish remover, so you just dip your finger in the hole, give it a little twist and it comes out clean, it really is as simple as that. Look...

this was a simple polish to remove, so it did literally take 1 second per nail, though i think with different colours and definitely glitters you may need a few more seconds, but its still super speedy!

This product is a little pricey for what it is, at £4.99 on (Bourjois are currently buy one get one half price) And I've already seen some people blog cheaper dupes. But its handy and fast, and depending how long it lasts it could be well worth the monies. It also leave a yummy scent behind fruity and vanilla-ry, much better than that horrible chemical smell!

So what do you think? Worth the hype?

P.s I've reached 50 followers! Yippeeee. Keep your eyes peeled for a wee giveaway!

My Nail Of The Day Today Is;

Orly, Bold Move and

I always use, the Barry M 3-in-1 Top & Base coat, I start using an Orly Tough Cookie base coat, but found it made me nail polish peel off, if i had a shower. So I've gone back to my trusty Barry M.

2 Coats of Orly Bold Move
2 Coats of Models Own Purple Haze on my ring finger.

What Colour have you got on your nails today?

Sleek Palettes

Over the past couple of weeks I've found myself go from zero sleek palettes to THREE! I bought a couple from some girls over on Beauty Box Swaps and i bought one from a blog sale. I thought I'd just do a quick post to show you which palettes i got, show you some swatches and stuffs.
I'm pretty sure I'm way behind with sleek palettes, they've been around a while yet I've only just invested in my first. I'm already desperate to get to superdrug and get more!
So here are the ones i got...

Top Palette - Graphite
Middle - Oh So Special
Bottom - Au Naturel

Oh So Special

Au Naturel

I love how pigmented the colours are and how velvety they feel to use. The Top palette (Graphite) is perfect for creating a gorgeous smokey eye, with the middle and especially the bottom more suitable for a day time look or just subtle make up.
The Au Naturel palette is part of the nude collection, so is perfect for everyday, minimal make up wear.
I can't wait to try out different make up looks with them, and i can't believe it's taken me this long to discover them! I already want to get down to superdrug and buy more! I've got my eye on the matte ones they've just released.
These retail for £6.99 in Superdrug.

Have you discovered any great make up products lately?

Glossy Box; May 2012

This months GlossyBox was a special 'Birthday' Edition as GlossyBox has now been around for 1 whole year! So, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY GLOSSYBOX! I've not been a subscriber since the very beginning unfortunately, when i found out about glossybox there was a waiting list!! and i couldn't get my first box until August or September. I've been subscribed since one of those months.
Well anyway, everyone had VERY high hopes for this months box, and to be honest, once everyone starts getting their hopes up, your bound to be disappointed, no? I feel sorry for glossybox, every month they seem to get complaint after complaint. If people don't like what they're getting, or they don't like the fact the box is a mystery every month, then don't pay your £12.95 to keep a subscription you're just going to complain about every month. Save you're money and buy something you KNOW you'll like.
The whole point of the boxes is to introduce new brands, brands you might necessarily not be able to afford, brands you wouldn't normally purchase. You aren't meant to like every single thing you get given, its a massive bonus if you do, but the whole point is to TRY stuff. I know a lot of the issues people have are with the values of the boxes and the fact there is such a variety of products. Which i totally understand, this month i would have liked HD Brows as much as the next person, but at the end of the day its just luck of the draw. So its just something people just have to get over. I'm sure the people at GlossyBox work hard to get the samples they get, and if they could please everyone, I'm sure they would also do that. So when you get next months box, how about cutting them some slack, and perhaps head over to Beauty Box Swaps (linked at the side) where you can exchange the products you perhaps don't like for something you love. Its not the end of the world remember, and worse things happen at sea ;)

Huge apology for that rant. I didn't actually mean that to happen, but my hands just wouldn't stop typing. I shall just move on to what i received in my box this month.

I love the tissue paper in this months box, its so cute and the ribbon has Anniversary box printed along it. Little touches like that make it feel a little more special. Though i think they should start using that tissue paper every month!

The Contents;

- Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel
- Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blane & Si Lolita
- Weleda Face Cream/Body Milk
- Uniqone All In One Hair Treatment
- Let's Go Lashes
- Glossy Box Birthday Balloon
- Glossy Box Compact Mirror

Noble Isle, Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel
"An immaculate fragrance evoking the beginnings of summer. Noble Isle is a new British bath & body brand inspired by natural and cultural riches of the British Isles."
Now i don't know if everyone got the same flavour, or whether Glossy Box did this on purpose, but i got the scent 'Cornish Hedgerows' I don't know if you all know this, but i actually live in Cornwall! I'd be interested if there was other scents floating around, or if that was the only one? This scent, has a really familiar smell to it, but i cant put my finger on what it is, i want to say its a perfume I've smelt before, but i just cant be sure, its one of those smells. But i really love it. I got a 75ml Sample full size is 250ml and retails for £20.00 and is available here

Lolilata Lempicka, L'Eau en Blan & Si Lolita
"Discover Lolita Lempicka's feminine world where Parisian chic meets fantasy fairy tale to create the perfect fragrance"
I cant describe fragrance at all, so I'm just going to tell you, that i liked both of them, but i doubt i will purchase either.

Weleda, Face Cream/Body Milk
"Weleda products only contain natural ingredients grown biodynamically to help restore health and maintain wellbeing."
I don't actually know what my product really is, as the whole packaging and everything is in every language apart from English, from my very little language knowledge i think I've worked out that its a wild rose night cream? I've not opened it yet so I'm afraid i cant tell you much about it, and i cant read the box so i don't really know anything about it. So yeah, sorry about that.

Uniqone, All In One Hair Treatment
"The first leave-on mask on the market that offers the 10 main benefits hair needs. The ideal partner for every day use for the best stylists and their most demanding customers."
This stuff smells AMAZING, I cant describe the smell, but its like the yummiest hairdresser smell ever. Its in a spray bottle and it really wasn't what i was expecting, i assumed sprays were like watery, but this is a bit thicker and like creamy. This may be the product I've been searching for. Since having my hair cut i have to blow dry and straighten my fringe, so i need a heat protector, but i also get terrible frizz, so i need something for that, my hairs also really dry so i need something for that. That's already 3 products, but this little beauty claims to do all of them plus more! i cannot wait to try it! The only downside, is that its only available in salons and I bet there isn't one in the whole of Cornwall that sells it. That'd be just my luck.

Let's Go Lashes
"Available in 40 styles, 100% human hair, incredibly easy to apply and re-usable"
Lashes are lashes. I hardly wear them. But the amount i now have i think I'm gonna start wearing them on a daily basis haha. These ones look fairly natural so might get away with it haha.

So that's my Glossy Box.
Again apologies for the rant at the beginning, I hope you all enjoyed your birthday Glossy Box

What did you get in your box?

Lots of Love

Elf Haul

So Last week Or over the weekend, i cant remember (the sun has melted my brain) ELF ( had a great offer on, well 2 great offers. You could either choose, Free delivery AND a lip gloss or a free, 6-in-1 beauty palette thingy. I already had a list as long as my arm of stuff i wanted to get, and over on Beauty Box Swaps, we've been organising our latest surprise swaps (Jubilee Swap) So, i took advantage of the offer, and got myself some bits, and a couple of things for my secret swap. So I'll show you what goodies i got for myself, i have to keep the other stuff secret!
(I imagine my pictures are horribly glarey, i took them outside, and i cant see them properly, Its SO bright)

ELF brushes have such a good rep! I think their probably the best value brushes around, as they are pretty good quality. The regular ELF range cost £1.50 and the studio range generally cost £3.50 with a few brushes costing slightly more.
This time, i chose the Studio Powder brush, its SO soft and has a flat top so i thought it'd be good for buffing in products. The second brush i got, isn't really a brush at all, its a glitter eyeshadow applicator. It has like a heart shaped silicone top to it, which is meant to pick up the glitter and place it on your eye without to much fall out. I don't really wear much glitter eyeshadow, but i was to intrigued to leave it behind, and if it really works it'll be handy to have in my kit bag. Very interested to see how that goes.

Next up is an Mascara Primer

This claims to Lengthen & Volumise and also Revitalise lashes, it contains Pro-Vitamin B5, Hydrolyzed Wheat and Soy Protein, to help nourish lashes. I'm going to a quiz night this evening, so i might give it a little test. My lashes are already quite long so we will see how long it makes them, I never really think about eyelashes, like having to nourish them like you do your skin and hair, but i guess its just the same. So perhaps they'll be glad of some nourishment, especially in this amazing weather.
This cost me £3.50

The other thing i bought for myself is Mineral Moisturising Lip Tint with SPF 8 In Guava .

You may have noticed from my last couple of posts, I'm really into this colour at the moment, It's a really summery colour. This product has really good colour pay off, and like it says is really moisturising, the SPF in it is really handy aswell! saves having to use 2 different lip products, though the SPF is quite low.

So that's my little Elf haul.

If you haven't already looked, I'd definitely recommend checking out their website. The products are reasonably priced, they've recently updated with some new products. I've got my eye on the mineral face cleanser, looks like it could be a dupe for Dermalogica Microfoliant! They usually have some good offer on aswell.

Did you take advantage of this offer?

Tk Maxx & Boots Haul

After my hair cut me and my mum had a little look around the shops.
Tk Maxx has been on top form lately, especially with their beauty offerings! Packs of Stila make up, Bella pierré and Nails Inc Galore!
Here are a few goodies i picked up...

I literally wanted everything in TK Maxx, but managed to keep to these few things.
A ped egg, my mum has one of these and literally raves about it, but i just didn't want to spend £10 on one from boots, so was chuffed when they had one in TK Maxx for £5.99 and in green, my favourite colour!
And the cute little cake cases, with a vintage paisley design were just £1.99 for 60!!
I also got a set of Colour Club Glitter Polishes, £7.99 for 6 glitters and a clear top coat. I haven't been able to swatch them yet as I've already got my nails painted, but they look gorgeous. I cant wait to try them out!

Was a little pack of Stila make up, for £7.99 it contained 3 items, but one of them I'm using in a surprise swap so didn't photograph. The 2 items I'm keeping though are the Lip Colour in 06 Fiona & The Lip Pot Tinted Lip Balm in Baie.

This lip stick has a bit of a funny smell to it, but i love the colour! The tinted lip balm, is really subtle but still noticeable and again i love the colour Its also quite moisturising. I also really like the packaging its so simple, but really pretty.

Top; Lip Balm Bottom; Lip Stick

The rest of my goodies...

I've been looking everywhere for Models Own polish in Indian Ocean, and i finally found a boots that had them in stock! Models own was buy 2 products and get a free nail art pen so i also got Models Own in Hedonist, which is a bright fluorescent coral colour, perfect toe nail colour for summer! and chose the black nail art pen free (should have been £6.00) I got the new Bourjois nail polish remover as I've seen some many great reviews on it, and it really is speedy! And the lovely headband to go with my new hair, again a orangey corally colour, pretty floral very summery. My last purchase was my first ever Revlon Lip Butter, they've had so much hype around them, i tested them in boots a while back when they first came out and i wasnt amazingly impressed. But i picked up Tutti Frutti and I'm so pleased with the colour, again and orange/coral colour (can you see a pattern?) It hasn't got big chunks of glitter in like some of the colours have, i think that's what i like about it.

Revlon Lip Butter; Tutti Frutti

As I'd had a new hair cut and I've been feeling a little down lately, my mum treated me to a nice new hair dryer.

We had no idea what to look for in a hair dyer, so eventually we decided on this one, i think it was about £30.00 but it came with all the things picture on the box so it seemed like a good deal.

The dryer itself is really lightweight and fairly compact, so it'll be good for travelling. I've never really owned a hair dryer before (like i said in my previous post, i neglect my hair) so I'm a bit excited haha.

So that's all my shopping goodies. I'm very very pleased with everything, and already wanting to go back to TK Maxx to see what new things they have!
I Will Leave you with one last photo....

New Hair, New Lipstick, New Me!

Lots of Love

Hair Cut.

Sunday night (very late) i decided it was time for a change, a new me. So I made the drastic decision to have a hair cut, and not just my regular trim with no kind of style, an actual real hair cut! You may or may not know, i have THE biggest girl crush on Zooey Deschanel, So this was my inspiration for my new Do'.
I don't really have a regular salon, i neglect my hair to much. I found a salon, after asking around for some suggestions, then Monday morning, i made the phone call and managed to get an appointment for that day! At this point i was SO nervous, i hate getting my hair cut, hence why it never happens.
I had about 50 photos of Zooey Deschanel on my phone, just so the hairdresser knew exactly what i wanted haha.
I loved my salon experience, and i will hopefully keep them as my regular salon, from now on. I want to take better care of my hair so hopefully they will be able to help me on  my journey to a better me. Now i bet your dying to see how it turned out haha... (please excuse my face, i was trying to find a photo that best showed the length of my hair!)

and apologies for my after photo, i have zero make up on!

So that's me, on my journey to become Zooey Deschanel, Now i just need to lose about 4 stone, so I can wear pretty dresses and other nice things! (You cant really tell in the second photo, but I've had about 3inches off the bottom as well!)

I had a little shopping spree after my hair cut and got all kinds of goodies! I will show you them all in a new post.
I'd love to know what you think of my new hair cut and I'm also looking for tips, of how to combat the frizz, as i prefer to let the rest of my hair dry naturally, it has a nice natural wave to it, but it gets horribly frizzy *sad face* any tips would be very welcome!

Are you having a make over for summer?

Body Shop Haul

Since breaking my leg, I've become slightly online shopping obsessed, There isn't much to do from your bed, and browsing shops online has filled the majority of my time.
Over the weekend the body shop had a great discount code, that i just couldn't ignore, 40% off AND free delivery. Though the 40% off didn't come off already discounted stuff, I also have a Love Your Body card which gained me an extra 10% off the products that were already discounted (i think)
So here's what i bought,

First in my basket was, i think one of their newest products,

Beautifying Oil, I chose a coconut scent, but its available in 11 of their signature scents including Strawberry, Cocoa butter and the new one Chocomania.
You can use this oil on your face, body or hair. It claims to moisturise, smooth and illuminate. Its a dry oil so its not to greasy on the skin, but it still gives it that nice sheen body oil gives. The coconut scent, reminds me of summer and as the weather seems to be looking up its perfect. I'm yet to try it on my hair, but I'm very much looking forward to as I'm a big fan of Macadamia Oil and Mythic Oil. It comes in at £9.00 for 100ml but with the offer i think it came in around £6.00

These were my next purchases, The raspberry ripple shower gel smells AMAZING, if you like sweet fruity smells, this is for you! It actually smells edible, exactly like raspberry ripple ice cream. Which was confirmed by my mum, after having a whiff "ohh that smells exactly like ice cream!" Yes mum, its Raspberry Ripple flavour haha. £4.00 for 250ml, seems quite a lot but for the scent and the fact they don't test on animals i think its worth the monies, With discount this came to £2.40 which is very reasonable.
The Earth Lovers shower gels, are quite new products as well, and the have some really peculiar flavour combinations that I've not seen in shower gels before, i really want to have a sniff of them all next time I'm in store. I chose mine in Watermelon & Eucalyptus, i thought this was the safest option with out smelling them first, other scents include Apricot & Basil and Fig & Rosemary. Though i quite like the sound of Pear & Lemongrass. These are £5/250ml they contain no sulphates, parabens or colourants and are also soap free, so good for those that have sensitive skin! With discount this cost me £3.00 again very reasonable i think.

I thought I'd try out The Body Shop shampoo & conditioner, I'm allergic to some shampoo's and conditioners, though i don't know what ingredient it is I'm allergic to so I'm kind of trial and erorring products at the moment to see what i can and cant use. The Body Shop hair products (and like alot of their products) contain No, silicones, sulphates, colourants or parabens, which is a great start. I chose the 2 from the Rainforest collection, especially for adding moisture back into your hair. My hair is prone to dryness and frizzyness and after reading reviews thought this would be best for me. I've also got my eye on the Banana ones! The Rainforest collection contain plenty of natural ingredients, with the moisture ones containing Pracaxi Oil, Manketti Nut Oil and Community Trade Honey, they smell divine! so fingers crossed they don't make my scalp unhappy. normally these cost £4.00/250ml each, so with discount they cost me a mere £2.40 each!

My last buy, was a bit of an impulse last minute buy,

The smell of Body Shop Vitamin E cream reminds me of my mum and being little, my mum hasn't actually used this cream for years and years, but when ever i smell it i think of her. So i bought myself this little set, of Vitamin E skincare. It include a Mini day & night moisturiser (15ml each) and a Mini Cleanser & Toner (60ml each) This little set is perfect for going away or a little gift for someone. I'd be very happy if i received this for a birthday or Christmas. I'm going to save it till i get through, all the odds and ends of face cream and such, to start using it. The little bag will come in handy as well as a little make up bag! Normally this would cost £10 and they do them in their range of skincare, including Tea Tree and Seaweed. With discount it only cost me £6.00!

All of this came to the grand total of... £22.23!
BodyShop do such gorgeous products and great gift sets! I can't wait to try out all my new products!

Did you take advantage of this great offer?

Olympic Torch Relay

Totally non beauty related, but today was, i think, a bit of a special day. Some people i know aren't bothered by the Olympics, and to be fair, I'm not particularly either.
But one of my very close friends, younger sister was picked as an Olympic torch bearer!
(I'm not doing this post to show off or anything) I actually feel really proud, before this i hadn't realised how much this means to people and really, it is a little bit of history, unless you're lucky enough to be in another country I for one will probably never seen something like this again in my lifetime. So its pretty amazing.

I'll be adding some more photos as i get hold of them, Jenni's parents took loads of all of us with her in her tracksuit, and with the torch etc.
so at the moment i just have the photos that i took.

If the torch is going past anywhere near where you live, i would so recommend going to see it! It was such a great atmosphere, and very enjoyable.

There was so much to see, They have a little procession of sponsored vehicles before the torch bearer appears. (I'd hate to think what the carbon footprint is, so i really hope they are using Eco fuel or something) there really was A LOT of cars and buses and Olympic quad bikes, any vehicle you could think of they had an Olympic clad one in the procession.

Most of them were handing out some kind of freebie as well, (everyone loves a freebie) From coca cola you had the chance to nab a free bottle of coke, or a strange implement that you bang, kind of like a tambourine.
Samsung were handing those inflatable stick things that you bang together and also, union jack flags. Lloyds TSB weren't handing out anything (as far as I'm aware)
We were lucky enough to get a quick glimpse of the guy carrying the torch before my friend, (they had a quick lunch break before Jenni ran) so he sort of ran it into the local school car park, out of view of the public.

So while we waited for them to organise themselves, Jenni came and showed off her torch to us

She was hastily ushered back into the private area, so she could prepare for her leg of the relay.
I didn't get any photos of her getting her torch lit, which i was told she lit from the cauldron and not from the previous torch. We'd moved on further down her route, so we could get a longer view of it all.

So there it is, I really hope you all get to see the Olympic Torch at some point, and enjoy that little bit of history, and that if you know anyone carrying it, you are insanely proud of them!

I hope you don't think I've been to braggy, but I've just had such an enjoyable afternoon, and I'm so proud of Jenni. I'll be adding more photos as and when i get them.

Lots of Love

Lux Box, First Box!

Lux Box is the new kid on the block, and i think they've started off amazingly! I was a late subscriber, (being at uni & having my accident things slip my mind) After some lovely tweets from the crew at Lux Box, i snaffled myself, their first box (which has not disappointed) Also, i cannot fault their customer service! I've only contacted them through twitter, but there responses were quick and helpful, absolutely spot on customer service. They make you feel very valued as a subscriber, this was something i noticed, before they'd even released their boxes. The company went to so much effort to get market research, as part of the beauty box swappers page. Lux Box were always asking our opinion on this, and i LOVE that, they have really put thought and effort into what people want. Lux Box... Keep up the good work :)

Now, onto my box......

I apologise for my poor photography, the light in my bedroom is awful.
So the box, standard beauty box size, same finish as the regular Glossy Boxes that nice smooth matte. The box is a kind a mushroom colour, which is really nice, it gives it a kind of classy look, which i like.
Inside again is standard beauty box, black tissue paper, little sticker & black shredded paper.
The Contents....

- SteamCream
- Eldora False Lashes
- BM Beauty Eye shadows
- Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream
- MOA The Green Balm

Now, i know what you might be thinking (especially if you're subscribe to all the Beauty Boxes and have been for a while) We've seen the majority of these products before?! Well yes, some of them have made an appearance. But, i personally didn't receive the boxes that they came in (except the eyeshadow) So i was very happy, with the products.

This was probably what i was most excited about, after the Carmine fiasco, i was a little be desperate to try Steam Cream, I cant really write much of a review on the product, as I've not opened it. i will do a separate blog post on it thought once I've used it. The great thing about SteamCream is they use high quality natural ingredients, and the special thing about SteamCream, which also gives it its name is the fact, they put a shot of cream in every pot. This makes the cream really lightweight.
I can't wait to try it, but i will wait until I'm fully recovered as, my skin care routine is suffering at the moment. Once I'm back on track i will let you know how i get on.
*Another thing i LOVE about SteamCream, is the packaging! Each tin is different, i received Ambigue which is limited edition by Mako Kikkawa. But there are some AMAZING designs! I actually want them all* £12.95/75g

Eldora False Lashes
Eldora are beautiful handmade false lashes, I'm not a massive wearer or falsies myself, but they are always handy to have around. These are gorgeous, they are so soft, the pair i received are quite full, intense lashes, but i believe they have a massive range, and also do very natural ones. I shall add these to my eyelash collect. I might do a blog post, on my collection of eyelashes (let me know on the comments if you'd like me to do that) The particular style i got cost £4.05 and are human hair.

BM Beauty Eyeshadow
(i will add swatches at a later date)
These eye shadows featured in the February Glossy Box (here) and i LOVED LOVED LOVED them! I was SO happy to see not one but TWO in this box. All be it, i have both colours, when they appeared in GB i went on a swapping craze to get every colour, But I kept them sealed, so i can pop them in a gift or swap them for a colour i might not have. I love everything about these eye shadows, lose pigment eyeshadow can be quite difficult to work with, you tend to get a lot of fall out. But these, i honestly can't express how much i love these eye shadows, the pigmentation is just amazing, they are so shimmery, they blend like a dream and are so versatile the pink shade 'Her Majesty' is like a rose gold colour, and if used sparingly enough can be used as a gorgeous pink/gold blusher! They are also, 100% mineral which is even better and contain no nasties or animal products!
I received 'Her Majesty' a rose gold and 'Wolf Howl' a gorgeous shimmery purple.
If anyone received different colours and are willing to swap, please comment below, I'm particularly looking for the white one, (i don't know the name) Thanks! £7.00/2g (which may not sound a lot, but our samples are 1g, and you literally need the tiniest amount, they will last you FOREVER)

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream
'This triple-action eye cream will help to revitalise weary eyes, smooth away dark shadows and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Lightly pat and smooth around the eye area twice daily after applying our moisture-rich face cream or balancing fluid moisturiser'
Balance me products, feature quite a lot in beauty boxes, and always seem to be quite well received. I've only ever tried the lip balm, but very much enjoyed that. This eye cream smells gorgeous, it contains chamomile which is very soothing, and also lemon that gives it an amazing scent, it just smells so fresh. I imagine using the product first thing in the morning, will really wake you up. The cream is so smooth and sinks in beautifully. I cant wait to work this into my skin care routine. 10ml/£14.00 15ml/£20.00 (in the box we received a 10ml sample)

MOA The Green Balm
'It's Green, It's a balm. It's 100% natural and it's a miracle. Crammed with organic yarrow and lots of other lovely natural stuff; this handy little pot of Móa's balm has many weird and wonderful uses... Móa's miraculous healing powers soothe, nourish and renew dry, itchy skin conditions like, eczema and psoriasis, bumps, bites, grazes and minor burns. Móa even works wonders on the dreaded coldsore, as a facial cleansing balm, and after shaving.'
This balm, is AMAZING it literally is a miracle balm. some of you may or may not know, i broke my ankle a few weeks ago, from that i now have 3 wounds on my ankle, from surgery, since getting this balm, I've been applying it, about 3 times a day (or as i remember) and its honestly worked wonders! the largest of the 3 scars, is looking beautiful and healing so nicely, I've had no troubles with them at all, and i really do think this balm is helping. It has a strange consistency, when you look at it in the pot, it looks as though it might be a bit hard or abit grainy, but it just melts in your finger tips, a little bit really goes a long way. it smooths in nicely and isn't to greasy on the skin. It also smells of tea tree oil, which is quite pleasant. The little tiny sample pot is so handy as well, I'd say its a definite must have and I'm very tempted to buy the full size! 15ml/£4.99 50ml/£9.99

So, if you're not signed up to any beauty boxes but you want to I would definitely go with Lux Box, if their first box is anything to go by! I cant wait for their second box! £10.00 + £2.95 P+P a month.

Lots of Love

Glossy Box; April 2012

This months box was all about natural beauty, and natural, organic products. Even the box was 100% biodegradable!
So here's what i got....

- Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum
- Inika Cosmetics Lip Liner
- Monu Professional Skincare Rosewood reviving Mist
- Figs & Rouge Lip Balm
- Philip B Styling Gel

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum
'Newly-Launched ultra-concentrated serum is extremely natural and plant-based, ensuring your skin never lacks moisture. The deluxe size is also exclusive to GlossyBox.'
I've seen so many good reviews of Caudalie products, so I'm very pleased to finally get to try it. I've only tested this on the back of my hand so far, but the product feels amazing, its light and non-sticky/greasy, but so moisturising. The sample size is 10ml, but the packaging is much much larger, this was so we could get the proper application nozzle. I really look forward to using this, as my skin has really suffered since breaking my leg. So once i get everything back on track, i think my skin will be glad of the moisture boost and a little bit of a pamper.
Full Size £29.00/30ml

Inika Cosmetics Certified Organic Lip Liner
'A blend of cold pressed plant waxes, oils and natural pigments provides outstanding colour performance.'
I'm loving the Inika products, this lip liner, which i got in 04 Nude Delight, goes perfectly with the 'Lip Whip' I got in SSB. The lip liner is so creamy and blends beautifully. its got a gorgeous shimmer to it, and will be perfect for summer!

Monu Professional Skincare, Rosewood Reviving Mist
'Refreshing and uplifting mist containing natural essential oils, including Lemon, Rosewood, Clove and Clary Sage.'
On the bottle it says 'This energising mist will hydrate, revitalise and gently perfume the skin.' and it does exactly that, I've used it a couple of times and my skin really has felt refreshed after a quick spritz. It smells absolutely gorgeous aswell, it reminds me of something but i cant think what, possible Dermalogica products. Not only can you use this to refresh your face, you can use it to 'lightly fragrance the body' and also set make up. Such a great multiuse product, and not something i would have purchased, but i love it.
Full Size £11.95/100ml

Figs & Rouge Lip Balm
'100% Pure, 100% Natural & 100% Organic multipurpose balm. Excellent for soothing & naturally hydrating dry lips & skin!'
I already love Figs & Rouge after getting it in an LIB box. In GB i got the flavour Peppermint & Tea Tree, i haven't opened it yet, as i cant decide whether to swap it with a different flavour, i had a cheeky look in the box i got for my mums birthday and she got the rose one, and i know there was also a cherry one available. So i shall keep the packet intact until i know what to do. (I also have another box waiting for me at uni, which is yet to be opened) so i cant really tell you much about that scent, but its such a versatile product, it so hydrating and lasts for ages, i used my other one on my nose while i had a cold, where it got sore and chapped, the balm really helped ease that. The tins are so cute aswell, when i had it at work everyone commented on my 'fancy lipbalm'
Full Size £3.29/8ml

Philip B Styling Gel
'Philip B Styling Gel is a multi-purpose, supple, soft-hold gel that adds volume and texture, and gives definition and control to all hair types.'
I'm not really sure what I'm meant to do with this, hair gel has always to me seemed like a product for boys. Its only a small sample (15ml) so perhaps I'll give it a try and see what i can come up with. The product doesn't feel sticky like some gels can. It contains seaweed extract including Irish Moss and Aonori, it also has vitamin B5 in it. It has a real 'hairdresser' kind of smell to it aswell.
I don't really style my hair that often i just tend to leave it. But we'll see, i might use, i may end up swapping it or passing it on to someone else.
Full Size £13.00/178ml

I really loved the products, hence why i ordered 2 extra boxes! The box is such a great value with 3 full size products in totalling £26.99 just for the full size items! The price of things never really bothers me, its more whether i like the product or its well suited etc. Like i said in my other reviews i like being introduced to brands and products that i wouldn't necessarily would have looked at/purchased.
So another great box from GlossyBox, and i cant wait till the next box, out at the end of the month, it will be their 1st Birthday Box, so fingers crossed another good one!

What did you think of the April Glossy Box?
