Latest In Beauty; In-Flight Box

I feel like i got this box ages ago, which really i did, but I've been so out of my blogging sync I'm behind on all my box reviews I'm afraid.
So, the In Flight box was part of the Latest In Beauty, YOU range. The box contains pre,in and post flight essentials.
"Consider this your first class box of travelling beauty essentials"
everything in the box meets the strict 100ml liquid limits, so you are able to pack all of it in your hand luggage/carry on bag.
Now I'm not planning on flying anywhere soon (well i am, but more on that another day) but i thought this box looked great, it contained products i already love and new products for me to try. Which i think is the perfect mix, sometimes all new products aren't the best boxes.
Have i rambled enough? shall i just show you whats in it? i thought so.

LIB beauty boxes come in fairly small boxes, and this one contained so many products it was jam packed, it was like a puzzle trying to work out how to fit everything back in when I'd pulled it out!

I'll start with this, yes your eyes don't deceive you, it is a FULL SIZE O.P.I polish, yippeee. The colour is 'William Tell Me About It' Its a deep, purple/cherry/red/Burgundy colour. I think deep cherry is a good description. It'll be a great Autumn/Winter colour. A bit dark for 'Summer' i think. I cant wait to wear it, with big wooly jumpers and leggings.

Jurlique, Rosewater Balancing Mist. This is a hydrating mist to refresh the skin. The leaflet with the box, recommends using this while on the flight, great a idea yeah? I always find flying ruins my skin, it makes it so incredibly dry especially if I'm flying long haul (which isn't very often) I'll loving these refreshing sprays at the moment as well.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry. For giving your hair a little refreshment after a long flight. I love the mini cans, I tend to only get the mini cans rather than a large one, purely because i only really use dry shampoo on my fringe so a mini one last me ages. I've had larger cans in the past, but i find i just tend to lose them. I'm loving the cherry scent as well.

StriVectin-SH Age Protect SPF30, The sun cream has a lovely texture and a pretty pleasant scent. You're supposed to use sunscreen everyday on your face. This is only a 7ml sample, so it wont do much of my body, and as our 'Summer' is slowly fading away I'll probably just end up using this as a moisturiser. What intrigued me most about this little set is the wristband that was included, you're supposed to wear the band on a daily basis, and when it turns blue you are exposed to harmful UV radiation. I haven't yet tried it out. But I'm keen to see how it works.

Mythic Oil, one of my all time favourite products. This one is different though, its Mythic Oil, Colour Glow Oil Radiance Oil For Colour Treated Hair. It doesn't look or smell any different from regular Mythic Oil and I'm still going to use it even though my hair isn't colour treated.

Xen-Tan is a product I've been wanting to try for a long time, I've read so many good things about it. But wasn't sure if i really wanted to commit to a full size product as i don't tan all that often. This is a 30ml sample, how far that will go who knows, hopefully I'll be able to do both my legs with it. Its a weekly self-tan lotion in dark, I tend to go for dark as in the summer i naturally tan very well, and tend to go quite a dark golden colour, if i see enough sunshine!
Can't wait to try this out, and perhaps get a full size product.

A tin of mints, strange thing to get a beauty box. But i love them! I love cinnamon mints it reminds me of good times in America with my family. I also love the tin they come in, its like something some ones grandad would have. I plan to keep these in my car, as i think the tin is a bit bulky to keep in my handbag. When all the mints are gone, i will find a use for the tin as its just to nice to throw away.

Alfresco, Beauty Without Bites, Acqua D'Alfresco, is a natural insect repellent, its highly fragranced and smells like something that i just cant put my finger on it, i think its a bit sandal woody or cinnamon-y. It also contains botanical extracts, its pretty strong scented, so i don't really know how good that'll be a deterring the insects? Perhaps if it contained citronella.

Garnier BB cream samples. I'm sure if I've told you this before, but i much prefer the sample sachets to the full size product. I have no idea why i just do. I'm slowly getting a bit of a collection of theses now, so i really need to start using them.

One sachet of powdered Acai Berry, Acai Berries have great nutritional value. you add the sachet to a glass of water to help give your skin a radiance boost from the inside. Acai Berries are full of antioxidants, though I'm sure I've tried them and they don't have the most pleasant flavour?

And last but not least, Good to go anywhere, sanitising wipes. This handy pack contains 4 wipes of 3 different varieties. 1 disinfectant wipe, for making surfaces clean and safe 2 soft absorbent tissue, for wiping what ever you need to and 1 sanitising hand wipe, for cleaning your handies. I'm thinking by tissue they possible mean, like a blow your nose on tissue? i was hoping it might be some kind of wet wipe? anyway. its a pretty handy strip to keep in your hand bag or travel bag. I need to investigate where to buy these.

So that's the YOU; In Flight box?
I'm very pleased with it i must say.
What do you think?

She Said Beauty Box; August

*I'm baaaaackkkk, sorry i've been away so long. My exams are over, and i have 2 weeks before i have to go back to uni, so 2 weeks to enjoy summer and get my blog back up and running properly! I've missed you all xxxxx *

I'll crack straight on with it, I can't say I'm majorly impressed with this box.

So first up White Glo Toothpaste; This featured in the last ever Carmine box, its Australia's No.1 Whitening toothpaste. I really enjoyed this toothpaste, but never got round to buying the full size. I'm pleased to see this in here, its one of the beauty box products i don't mind receiving again. You can buy White Glo at boots, and it even comes with a toothbrush!

Balance Me, Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve; This again has appeared in another box, one of the Latest in Beauty Boxes contained either the same or very very similar product. I'm undecided whether i will even open this, as i have with no exaggeration about 10million lip balms. I don't really need another one. That and also, I'm starting to go off balance me products a bit, i did love the brand but I'm getting a bit tired of it now. I don't think the products are great as i initially thought. They're starting to not agree with my skin etc.

Redken, Colour Extend Radiant-10; This is a conditioning spray for coloured hair. I don't have coloured hair, so its not much use to me. BUT withing the last week i have been toying with the idea of getting some kind of highlights or something, just to jazz my hair up a little bit. I was planning on giving this to my my mum has she colours her hair. But I have a hair appointment on Wednesday and i shall speak to my hairdresser and she what she thinks about some colour.

Papier Poudré, Rachel Powdered Paper; These i have received before in a LuxBox. This isn't something i really use, my skin isn't ever excessively oily. Apart from recently, but its gone back to its normal dry ways again. So these i will probably swap or sell or put in a birthday present or something. I like the idea of them, and i love the vintage look of the packaging etc. But they just aren't suited to my skin unfortunately.

Nails Inc, Nail Polish. Probably my favourite product in the box. A teenie 4ml Nails Inc polish, I got a gorgeous summery pinky/coral colour. It hasn't got a name on it so i cant tell you the shade I'm afraid. There were 4 colours available I would have been happy with any of them! I think the variation of this product was some nail wraps. She Said used to be very good at giving everyone the same box, but  recently they've done very slight variations. Which is understandable as they get more subscribers they can't expect one company to provide that many samples. But anyway, my favourite thing in the box Nails Inc Polish.

The bonus product this month was a bit of a peculiar one. 4711, Eau De Cologne; My mum wasn't even aware they still made this, and i always assumed it was one of those things your gran/grandad liked? Perhaps they are trying to get a bit more publicity to the brand or perhaps try and make it 'cool' by featuring it in Beauty Boxes, who knows? In the box we got a little 3ml bottle sample. the brand is over 200 years old. Its not a horrible smell at all, its almost pleasant. Its sort of citrus with a hint of something i can't put my finger on. Its like something I've smelt before, but i don't know what. My mum told me my gran would enjoy it, so i might pass it on to her as a little gift. i don't think I'll be using it myself. I think the bottle is really quaint and it totally reminds me of Alice In Wonderland, I can just imagine it being the 'Drink Me' bottle!

So there we go, that's this months box, what do you think of the contents? Though it hasn't wowed me, i appreciate the products i received, and will use some, others i can share around so its not all bad.
I'll look forward to next months box, and the other boxes I'll receive this month.

French Haul; Part 3 & NOTD

I'm combining the last couple of things i bought in France with a NOTD i did while i was away, as i use they involve the same products.
So here are the last 3 things i purchased on hoiday.

From a store called Make Up Story's, i wish i'd taken a photo, the shop was properly amazing. Selling mostly nail varnish, they had every colour under the rainbow, it was insane. They also had a great offer of Buy One get One for 1Euro, just on the nail polish. I picked 2 from a brand called Biguine, a brand i've not heard of. I got Sweety Apricot & Blue Military. I really love the Blue Military, its not like any blue i've seen before. and the Sweety Apricot is a really summery bright mango/apricot colour.
I also picked up, the nail polish corrector pen, i liked this one because in the other end to the nib are 3 clean tips! what a great idea!

I painted my nails that night, using my new polishes!

The blue was so opaque even after one coat, but i did 2 coats on each colour, just to be sure. I love the consistancy of these polishes, and their SO glossy, even with out a topcoat. The brushes are also really good, and apply nice and evenly!

Is there anywhere in the UK to purchase this brand?

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover

There has been so much hype about this product, and I am a sucker for product hype.
When i was in boots the other day i treated my self to this...

You can see what else i brought in the haul here.
Today i thought I'd put it to the test. I didn't have a very challenging nail polish on Models Own in Utopia

The concept of Bourjois 1 Second nail polish remover is simple. Inside the pot is a sponge with a hole in the middle, the sponge is soaked with nail polish remover, so you just dip your finger in the hole, give it a little twist and it comes out clean, it really is as simple as that. Look...

this was a simple polish to remove, so it did literally take 1 second per nail, though i think with different colours and definitely glitters you may need a few more seconds, but its still super speedy!

Ta-Dah

This product is a little pricey for what it is, at £4.99 on boots.com (Bourjois are currently buy one get one half price) And I've already seen some people blog cheaper dupes. But its handy and fast, and depending how long it lasts it could be well worth the monies. It also leave a yummy scent behind fruity and vanilla-ry, much better than that horrible chemical smell!

So what do you think? Worth the hype?

Tk Maxx & Boots Haul

After my hair cut me and my mum had a little look around the shops.
Tk Maxx has been on top form lately, especially with their beauty offerings! Packs of Stila make up, Bella pierré and Nails Inc Galore!
Here are a few goodies i picked up...

I literally wanted everything in TK Maxx, but managed to keep to these few things.
A ped egg, my mum has one of these and literally raves about it, but i just didn't want to spend £10 on one from boots, so was chuffed when they had one in TK Maxx for £5.99 and in green, my favourite colour!
And the cute little cake cases, with a vintage paisley design were just £1.99 for 60!!
I also got a set of Colour Club Glitter Polishes, £7.99 for 6 glitters and a clear top coat. I haven't been able to swatch them yet as I've already got my nails painted, but they look gorgeous. I cant wait to try them out!

Was a little pack of Stila make up, for £7.99 it contained 3 items, but one of them I'm using in a surprise swap so didn't photograph. The 2 items I'm keeping though are the Lip Colour in 06 Fiona & The Lip Pot Tinted Lip Balm in Baie.

This lip stick has a bit of a funny smell to it, but i love the colour! The tinted lip balm, is really subtle but still noticeable and again i love the colour Its also quite moisturising. I also really like the packaging its so simple, but really pretty.

Top; Lip Balm Bottom; Lip Stick

The rest of my goodies...

I've been looking everywhere for Models Own polish in Indian Ocean, and i finally found a boots that had them in stock! Models own was buy 2 products and get a free nail art pen so i also got Models Own in Hedonist, which is a bright fluorescent coral colour, perfect toe nail colour for summer! and chose the black nail art pen free (should have been £6.00) I got the new Bourjois nail polish remover as I've seen some many great reviews on it, and it really is speedy! And the lovely headband to go with my new hair, again a orangey corally colour, pretty floral very summery. My last purchase was my first ever Revlon Lip Butter, they've had so much hype around them, i tested them in boots a while back when they first came out and i wasnt amazingly impressed. But i picked up Tutti Frutti and I'm so pleased with the colour, again and orange/coral colour (can you see a pattern?) It hasn't got big chunks of glitter in like some of the colours have, i think that's what i like about it.

Revlon Lip Butter; Tutti Frutti

As I'd had a new hair cut and I've been feeling a little down lately, my mum treated me to a nice new hair dryer.

We had no idea what to look for in a hair dyer, so eventually we decided on this one, i think it was about £30.00 but it came with all the things picture on the box so it seemed like a good deal.

The dryer itself is really lightweight and fairly compact, so it'll be good for travelling. I've never really owned a hair dryer before (like i said in my previous post, i neglect my hair) so I'm a bit excited haha.

So that's all my shopping goodies. I'm very very pleased with everything, and already wanting to go back to TK Maxx to see what new things they have!
I Will Leave you with one last photo....

New Hair, New Lipstick, New Me!

Winning!

The other day i received and email from a lovely girl, who works for Illmasqua, informing me I'd won a competition they'd run with ASOS! I enter so many competitions i couldn't remember this particular one, but nonetheless, i was SO happy, I LOVE Illamasqua, and my prize was 2 nail polishes from their new 'Human Fundamentalism' range.
This morning my postman bought me a lovely package, which inside had these lovelies....

The colours are 'nomad' and 'stance' I'm not normally a pink person, but i actually love this colour, its a gorgeous fuchsia/magenta, and green is my all time favourite colour, this minty green is so on trend at the moment as well.
They colours are so easy to paint on, no streaks and great coverage after just 2 coats especially with the green. (please excuse my poor photo quality)

Illamasqua were kind enough to include a little hand written note congratulating me on my win, and also a copy of the 'Human Fundamentalism' catalogue, i really like having the little books they bring out, i have a copy of the 'Theatre of The Nameless' one aswell, as a makeup student, they are great to look through to get inspiration, and also to see what new products they have! I already have my eye on The Precision Ink in white, and the liquid metal palette. I also really want to try their Skin Base foundation, everyone raves about it. So next time i got off to London i shall be paying their FlagShip store on Beak Street a little Visit.

Illamasqua nail polishes retail for £13.50 and are available on their website here, or in any of their stores or counters.

A massive Thank You To Illamasqua & ASOS, i couldn't be happier with my prize!
Thank You Thank You Thank You!

Have you won anything lately?

Mini Boots Haul

I always make a mental list of all the things i wish to purchase in Boots, then as soon as i step foot in store i cannot remember a single one, only being 21 this slightly worries be. But i did my usual forgetting what actually need, (which turned out to be shampoo) and bought these lovely goodies instead.

The Sally Hansen Cuticle remover, i saw somewhere that some one had recommended it very highly, my cuticles have been pretty neglected for a while now, and being mostly bed bound i thought it was the perfect opportunity to get them back to looking semi nice. I used this the other night, and i have to say i was SO impressed, i wasn't expecting such great results, but i honestly think this products amazing. You just put it on, leave for 1-2 minutes (though i got distracted by the TV alot, so more like 5mins) and your cuticle pretty much melts away, that or its so supple you can just push it down and nip it off, an absolute treat. so quick and easy. I think this product retails for around £6, but its well worth the money!

Beauty Fixation is a brand I've not used before, i often look at their products while browsing in boots, but was yet to purchase anything. when i went in just the other day many of their products were reduced. i picked up the 'Tinted Lip Conditioner' they also had cuticle condition, and a nail polish remover one. These are handy little cotton buds with the product stored in the middle tube, you snap one end, and the other fills with product, you then just apply. easy peasy. I cant say i was amazed by the lip conditioner, it did make my lips feel nice, but the product itself was very oily, and there wasn't really much tint to it. These were about £3 on clearance, i definitely wouldn't have paid the full price for them, and i don't think I'll be purchasing them again.

At the moment, Models Own nail polishes are 2 for £8 and I'm finding it hard to resist, i managed to restrain myself and only get 2 colours (it was difficult) but in the end i decided on 'Purple Haze' & 'Utopia' I haven't got many neutral polishes, I'm more of a bright colours person. But i want to get into neutral nail colours more and i thought Utopia was a good start, its a kind of pastel/neutral mauve/lilac colour. So, its on trend with the pastels and slowly easing my way into neutrals. I could have easily bought every colour, and I'm currently on the hunt for the elusive 'Indian Ocean' so i may need to put in a boots.com order.
The Mavala polish was also on clearance, and it was the last one, so i just had to snap it up. I'm a sucker for glitter polishes these days. and its a gorgeous holo glitter, that has amazing glitter pay off. Its very very similar to the orly polish i blogged about here, but in my opinion you cant have to much nail polish. I think i paid about £2 for this on clearance, and they are normally about £4.50.

I couldn't decide which picture was best, so you got both! the swatches are all just 2 coats.

Overall I'm very pleased with everything i bought, and would definitely recommend, the cuticle gel and models own polish!

Have you bought anything new lately?

Apologies & She Said; April

Firstly my massive apologies, i haven't blogged in over a month! I think about it all the time but haven't ever gotten round to it, I came home from uni for Easter break and just got caught up in being at home, working and seeing friends, so I've kind of neglected my blog for that reason. BUT, just one week before i was meant to go back to uni (and hopefully get back into some kind of routine) , i managed to slip over and break my leg! Unlucky or what?! so for the last 2 weeks, I've either been in hospital or just feeling sorry for myself, but now, 1 operation, 3 pins and lots of morphine later I've decided i REALLY need to get back into this, i have actually missed doing it and i think it'll help pass the time of being on "strictly toilet trips only"

So to start off my mass blogging today i have a very belated April She Said Box....

Half of the brands in this box I'd never heard of, so it was really nice to experience all these brands, but also to try different products from brands I'd used before or brands I'd heard of but never tried. The Lindt egg was a delicious touch aswell :)

What I received;

- Filthy Gorgeous Nail Polish
- Comfort Zone Body Expert Kit
- Mischa Barton Luscious Lips Pink Pop
- Bellapierre Shimmer Powder
- Bharti Vyas The Ultimate Therapy Face And Neck Polisher
- Erno Laszlo The Hollywood Collection (bonus item)

Filthy Gorgeous Nail Polish
' Combining rich cremes, delicate sheers and crystal 3D glitter pigments all worked into a long wearing, high shine, high pigment professional quality nail polish formula'
I receive shade 'Vampish' I've never heard of this brand, but I'm quite impressed. so far I've only swatched it so i don't know what the longevity is like, but the colour goes on really well, i think (don't shout at me if I'm wrong haha) that it might be similar to Nail Inc Victoria shade. The swatch in the picture below is just one swipe, so the colour would be pretty opaque after 2 coats. I love it!
Full size 10ml £9.00

Comfort Zone Body Expert Kit
' Get your body beach ready with the Body Strategist Cellulite Remodeller which has a thermogenic action, D-Age Body Cream and Fruity Peel Exfoliator. Once the hard work is done relax and indulge with Tranquillity Cream, Mediterranean Shower Gel, and Vital Leg Cream.'
Comfort Zone featured in the last She Said Box (here) I've used the night cream a few times, i liked it, i wasn't wowed by it. So in this little set we got 6 10ml sachets, I'm yet to try any of them yet. But hopefully they'll be a bit more exciting than the Night cream was.
I do like the cute little bag it comes in though :)
Fruity Peel Exfoliator 150ml £24.50
Aromasoul Shower Gel 200ml £19.95
D-Age Body Cream 200ml £48.00
Body Strategist + Remodeller 150ml £40.95
Vital Leg Cream 200ml £32.75
Tranquillity Cream 200ml £58.25

Mischa Barton Luscious Lips Pink Pop
'Luscious Lips by Mischa is a rich, hydrating lip protector with a hint of flattering colour. this luxurious gloss combination protects with SPF15 and hydrates with vitamins to make your lips extra kissable.'
I was quite excited about this product, i didn't even realise Mischa Barton had bought out a make up range, so was really looking forward to trying it. I was a tiny bit disappointed though, the colour i got was pink pop, which in the pot looks like a really nice natural pinky colour, i swatched the product on my hand, and they weren't joking when they say 'a hint' literally the tiniest hint, if that, it took about 3 layers to make it noticeable to the human eye. Another thing i didn't really like was the smell, its not repulsive or anything it just reminds me of the smell of PlayDough. Overall this product just reminds be of something you'd get in like a little make up set as a child, I'll still probably use it as i like the fact its moisturising and it has an SPF in it, so it'll probably live in my handbag or my beach bag.
Full size 8g £12.00

Mischa Barton Swatched.

BellaPierre Shimmer Power
'Using 100% pure Mica powder, these beautiful shimmer powders will provide long lasting, vibrant colour.'
I think this is the product i was most excited about (apart from the chocolate egg) I've been dying to try BellaPierre for so long, every time i go to TK Maxx i eye up the sets in there. So i was a happy bunny when this turned up in the box, its also such a wearable colour which is great 'SP003 Champagne' Like it says the colour is intense and the shimmer is amazing! i couldn't be more pleased with this product, and will definitely be adding to create my own BellaPierre collection!
Full Size 2.35g £12.99

BellaPierre 'Champagne'

Bharti Vyas The Ultimate Therapy Face and Neck Polisher
'this Face and Neck Polisher contains walnut shavings that gently exfoliate and cleanse the skin, whilst helping to correct any skin imbalances.'
Again never heard of this brand, I've tried this product and i wasn't wowed, it just seemed like any other face scrub I've used before, there wasn't anything particularly special about it. That might just be me who knows?!
Full Size 125ml £22.50

Erno Laszlo The Hollywood Collection
'Featuring 5 New products based on custom formulations taken from the archive and updated with the latest skincare technology,'
This set featured in some of the, i think Harrods edition GlossyBox, it looks like a nice set and you got 5 little sachets to try, I've used a couple of them and so far have been impressed, though i shan't be purchasing any due to the MASSIVE price tag!
Ava Gardner, instant eye repair 0.5oz £85
Marilyn Monroe Morning Beauty Rescue 1.7oz £95
Katharine Hepburn Intensive Porcelain Veil 1.70z £140
Grace Kelly Refresh Moisture Infusion 1.7oz £125
Greta Garbo Velvet Night Cream 1.7oz £175

So that was my She Said April box, i apologise for the very delayed review, overall i was semi impressed with the box, i like the range of products and the different brands, and i look forward to next months box.

I'll try and get my blog posts more regular again :)

NOTD

I couldn't resist using my new nail polishes, so I have repainted my nails, using my new Orly Polishes...

The base colour i used Orly 'Be Iconic' I did 2 coats of this, it has great coverage and beautiful finish. I actually noticed, that on the nail it looks like it has tiny bits of green glitter in it!
On my ring finger, i have done 3 coats of Orly 'Shine On Crazy Diamond' I found that i got more glitter if I kind of dabbed the polish on rather than sweeping it. It does make a great top coat!

Hope your Like them!

Orly!

The other day the Lovely Lainey LuLu (The Life & Times of Lainey LuLu) bought to our attention that cheapsmells.com were doing 2 Orly Miniatures for the bargain price of £3.95 (and free delivery)! If you've read my previous posts you'll know i LOVE Orly nail polish. You could pick any colour from a large-ish choice, and then the free colour would be a mystery! I chose a polish called 'Shine On Crazy Diamond' it actually took me about half an hour to decide, and lots of googling imaging. But i decided on this one, which from pictures looked like a silvery/holographic glitter polish.
And today, i got a lovely package in my post tray!

Sorry About The Blur!

I tried to capture the holographic-ness as much as i could. So the bottom polish is the one i chose, the top was my mystery free polish, i am actually amazingly pleased! I was a bit worried they were going to pawn us off with a colour no one ever buys. But no, This is such a beautiful summery colour, its called 'Be Iconic' and its definitely a colour i would have picked myself! I love both of them, i also think they'd both go really well together!

Left; Be Iconic Right; Shine On Crazy Diamond

So these are the swatched, Be Iconic gave really nice cover even after one coat, but did two just to make it fully opaque, it glides on nice, and has a really nice pearl finish.
Glitter polishes are always a bit of a gamble i think, you can never tell, The picture of Shine On Crazy Diamond is after 3 coats, its not crammed with glitter, but i think it'd make a really good top coat. The pieces of glitter are really tiny. I don't think you'd be able to wear this polish on its on, so I'll definitely be layering it over other colours.

Did you take advantage of this great offer? What mystery colour did you receive?

Carmine; February

There's been so much drama over this months box!
To begin with, everyone was getting the same box (that included a full size SteamCream & a full size Balance Me body wash) Carmine then informed everyone that they had actually run out of said Full Size products and were unable to get any more, so replacing them with products from previous boxes.
I'm still not sure how i feel about this, as its my first carmine box i don't feel i can complain, as i don't already have the products that they were replacing them with, but i also feel very annoyed as i subbed in January before i even knew what the boxes would have in them, yet in my first ever carmine box, i wont even be receiving the items (which i would have loved to have tried) So i had a slight annoyance/disappointment when i did eventually get my box, nonetheless i am semi pleased with what i got, as it has given me new products to try and introduced me to new brands. Which is the purpose of beauty boxes. Saying all of that, i completely understand why there has been so many issues with this box, Carmine just saying we aren't getting (in my opinion) the 2 best products in the box so blasé (don't know how to spell) without giving the people who only subbed for that reason or even people that had previously subbed but were getting the reworked box, to cancel. But they were welcome to send their box back (at their own expense) for a refund, which I'm guessing was less postage (TWO lots of postage). I really didn't mean to rant this much BUT once you start and all that, i shall leave it now. Please feel free to comment below. Now onto the products!

In My Box...

I Got...
- The Balm FratBoy All-In-One Shadow/Blush (replacement)
- Daniel Sandler Eye Delight (replacement)
- Andrea Fuller Nail Varnish (full size)
- Diego Dalla Palma Lipstick
- White Glo Whitening Toothpaste
- Yardley London Peony Fragrance (bonus)

I'll start with the replacement items...

The Balm is a brand I'd never heard of, but I've seen a lot of reviews of this product as i believe it featured in the October Carmine (along with the Daniel Sandler) as disappointed as i am not receive the cream and the body wash, i am pleased i got this product as i have wanted to try it, and I'm in need of a new blusher, this one is really pigmented and i love the packaging. It retails for £16.00 and is available at feelunique.com

Right; Daniel Sandler Left; The Balm FratBoy

Next is the Daniel Sandler in Ice, again i am please i got this product over some of the other things they could have added in as it is also a product I've been wanting to try, its really well pigmented and has a great shimmer, it will be a welcome addition to my make up kit. It can be used either wet or dry depending on how much intensity you'd like. Another Daniel Sandler product I'd like to try is the Watercolour Blush. Daniel Sandler products are available here and the eye delight retails for £10.25

Next up is Diego Dalla Palma The Lipstick, this again is brand I've never come across. The lipstick is available in 20 high pigmented shades, my came in shade 32 a nice peachy/corally colour with a hint of shimmer. I'm not the biggest lipstick fan, but this sample is so cute i can't not try it! Full size lipsticks are available here and retail for £20.30. I've just noticed it has an almost cocoa butter scent, so think this lipstick could be really moisturising!

Shade 32

Andrea Fullerton is a brand i have heard of, as they stock it in SuperDrug. I've often looked at the range of products there seem to be some great nail effects/art items. So i was really pleased to see this turn up the colour i received is called Julia. Again I'm really pleased with the colour, i have a vast collection of nail polishes and this is one that isn't a common with in my collect (i may have a boujois one similar) I have an awful lot of greens and other bright colours, and i think everyone need a subdued neutral colour varnish in their collection. As i mention this Brand is available at Superdrug and the individual polishes retail at £4.99 (I ha vent swatched as my nails are already painted, sorrryyy!)

White Glo, I'm really pleased to see this product in here, i know its a 'beauty' box but it makes a really nice change to face cream samples and things. I also know that this toothpaste is available in boots and I'm pretty sure you get a toothbrush with the full size version ( or you did when my mum purchased it) I look forward to trying this to see what its like, sometimes i find whitening toothpastes have a funny taste, but we shall see.... White Glo is available at boots.com for £4.07

And last but not least our 'bonus' item Yardley London, this brand is always something I've associated with old people, my grans favourite is Yardley Lavender Talc. Very stereotypical i know, but its just one of those things, I'm not a massive fan of overly floral smelling things, i like the smell of rose stuff, but not a lot else. So i was pleasantly surprised with this, its really light and fresh and not like old lady floral. I remember a friend had peony's as her wedding flower, and then too they smelt beautiful. This also is available in boots and at boots.com for £13.49/125ml

So after going through each product individually i am generally pleased with the contents of this box, disputer my initial disappointment. I very much look forward to trying all the products and seeing how they work out.

Which Carmine box did you receive this month? I hope you enjoy all your products!

P.s i apoligise for my rant at the start!

Lots of Love
